Automatic straight lines for pen and highlighter
It would be so much useful having the opportunity to quickly draw straight lines (e.g. keeping pressure on the screen for a second at the end of the line drawn) with both pen and highlighter. The second one would be so much needed when it's necessary to highlight PDFs without making a mess with not perfectly straight lines.

Allow importing an image as a page background
Import an image and use it as a page background.
100 votesPlease comment here how you would expect this to work. An image doesn’t have an inherent size. Would you want the page size to match the dimensions of the image exactly? Or would you want the page size to be a standard size with the image fit to it as best as possible (with blank space around the image)? Or something else?

The infinite paper should be truly infinite to all sides.
Currently there is a boundary at the top and to the left of infinite paper. This makes it hard to use it for mindmaps as the user cannot grow the mindmap in all directions equally. Just get rid of that unnecessary limitation.

Infinite page layout with option of vertical only scroll or horizontal only scroll
I want to just keep writing fast and scrolling down but not have to think about text alignment or that my paragraphs are skewing to the left or right. A "lock margins" option would be nice.

Snap To
I am loving the addition of the drawing tools. Thank-you. A natural progression would be to add a "Snap To" function to enable users to snap objects to the grid (graph paper) or objects to other objects.

Search through handwritten notes
Handwritten notes will get converted to digital text in the background so they become searchable. This would happen just like Google Keep so that a note will become search almost immediately after you save it.

It would be great to speed up page reordering by moving an entire group of selected pages instead of having to move them one by one.

Make Squid a knowledge library through tags
I am making lots of handwritten notes e. g. in meetings and also print everything I research into PDF files and import them into Squid. Without the ability to tag my notes I am not able to search them for my anmotations and have to manually read through them in order to find something I wrote in the past. This will get more and more difficult as I continue to use Squid as much.
My suggestion is to introduce a tag mode besides the viewing mode and the editing mode in which i can select areas on the note and…

The ability to search on any word or phrase, either in the note name or body, yielding a list of notes matching the search criteria.
iOS has this with evernote "penultimate" and it is SO helpful.

I hope to add the function of modifying the handwriting effect, such as colour, to achieve the function of rapidly modifying the handwriting effect. For example, we can use a tool like brush to change the colour of handwriting rapidly and conveniently. The original function of selecting and modifying the color is rather tedious, and a small part of the modification is acceptable, and a large number of modifications will consume time and energy.

Archive old notes/notebooks
I create a new notebook each school semester for each class. I also create one for each texxtbook i read independently. This causes me to have many different notebooks and without a way to orgonize the notebooks into deeper levels or archive old ones i am forced to delete old notebook to save clutter.
