Sync between devices
I would like to have my notes automatically appear on my other devices with Squid installed. e.g. Create a note on device A and it appears on device B. If possible allow editing too from that device.
2,215 votesI wanted to provide an update on this in light of our recent major update to make backups work at the note level along with our new support for Google Drive. These were both major milestones on the way to support sync. Now that backups work at the note level, we plan to continue our work to build a sync solution that works across devices using cloud storage provides like Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box. The advantage to this approach is that we continue to have zero access to your note data. Everything lives on your device and your selected cloud storage provider. However, this also means the solution must be resilient to users modifying data in the cloud (intentional or not). We don't have an ETA yet, but this continues to be one of our highest priorities. We really appreciate your patience and feedback on this idea!

Windows App
I would like to vote for resuming support for Windows devices. Squid is a great app for recording tutorial videos with a pen (just enough features, responsive, and easy to use). I realize that you have limited resources, but I wanted to put the vote out there.
526 votesWe don’t disagree that there is a market for a cross-platform handwritten note taking app! We would love for Squid to be available on all platforms. We’re a small team and we don’t currently have the resources to expand to Windows (or iOS). We hope this will change someday!

handwriting recognition and search functions
I want to know if these functions are planned to be implemented in the near future... although it seems like no other android apps support these features as well, but when compared to other competitors in other platforms such as Goodnotes or Notability, lacking these features is quite disappointing.

Home screen widget for quick view of note
A home screen widget that would let you view a note and quickly open it to edit it.
267 votesYou can add a shortcut to your Home Screen to open a specific notebook (see http://feedback.squidnotes.com/knowledgebase/articles/1179331) or to create a new note in a specific notebook (see http://feedback.squidnotes.com/knowledgebase/articles/1179328).
It does not appear to be possible to create a widget that allows for taking handwritten notes directly on the Home Screen (due to the fact that you need to be able to swipe left/right to get to different pages on your Home Screen). Please vote here if you’re interested in a widget that shows a particular note on your Home Screen (and allows you to open it quickly to edit it).

Add page number function
It would be very useful if the users could add page number in its notebooks pages. When printed, it becomes easier to go thru the pages when they are numbered.

Ability to choose other cloud services that we wish, public and/or private
While dropbox and box are a step forward, why not just. Allow Squid users to be able to choose whatever cloud services they wish whether public or private cloud service.
I personally don't like dropbox or box services they are very limited in how you can choose what folders files are stored in.

Add tags/labels to notes and folders
Add the ability to tag/label notes and possibly folders. You should be able to have multiple tags/labels applied to a note, or folder, and be able to browse by tag/label.

Search through handwritten notes
Handwritten notes will get converted to digital text in the background so they become searchable. This would happen just like Google Keep so that a note will become search almost immediately after you save it.

Make Squid a knowledge library through tags
I am making lots of handwritten notes e. g. in meetings and also print everything I research into PDF files and import them into Squid. Without the ability to tag my notes I am not able to search them for my anmotations and have to manually read through them in order to find something I wrote in the past. This will get more and more difficult as I continue to use Squid as much.
My suggestion is to introduce a tag mode besides the viewing mode and the editing mode in which i can select areas on the note and…

Archive old notes/notebooks
I create a new notebook each school semester for each class. I also create one for each texxtbook i read independently. This causes me to have many different notebooks and without a way to orgonize the notebooks into deeper levels or archive old ones i am forced to delete old notebook to save clutter.
