This is something we're investigating while designing the Squid10 note editor. This is one of the options for Fewer clicks to switch tools that we are exploring.

I wanted to provide an update on this in light of our recent major update to make backups work at the note level along with our new support for Google Drive. These were both major milestones on the way to support sync. Now that backups work at the note level, we plan to continue our work to build a sync solution that works across devices using cloud storage provides like Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box. The advantage to this approach is that we continue to have zero access to your note data. Everything lives on your device and your selected cloud storage provider. However, this also means the solution must be resilient to users modifying data in the cloud (intentional or not). We don't have an ETA yet, but this continues to be one of our highest priorities. We really appreciate your patience and feedback on this idea!

Andrew, if you stored everything in XML or JSON, then it would be easier to use something like Google drive or Dropbox. Using Google's drive APIs, you could have Squid read/write directly from GDrive and there would be no syncing required on your part.An error occurred while saving the comment kgingeri commentedAndrew, even a master-slave (read-only slave even) sync would be a great first step. So I could refresh my sketches on a 'slave' device as either read-only or knowing that any changes will not be persistent (a bit ugly ;v).

You can add a shortcut to your Home Screen to open a specific notebook (see http://feedback.squidnotes.com/knowledgebase/articles/1179331) or to create a new note in a specific notebook (see http://feedback.squidnotes.com/knowledgebase/articles/1179328).
It does not appear to be possible to create a widget that allows for taking handwritten notes directly on the Home Screen (due to the fact that you need to be able to swipe left/right to get to different pages on your Home Screen). Please vote here if you’re interested in a widget that shows a particular note on your Home Screen (and allows you to open it quickly to edit it).

So GDrive "backup" addition is great, but this is not "sync". I'm looking for one space that keeps all my devices updated. So if I create, edit or delete a note on one device, the next time I open Squid on another device, it updates.
