Option to delete background for pdf export
I like to use a background with square pattern, to easily keep my notes and drawings alligned, much like on regular paper.
However, I would like that when my pdf's are auto-synced to dropbox, there would be an option to:
- keep the chosen background of the note
- always use blank background
I lose a lot of ink, and it just isn't looking good, to print a pdf with all these lines.
Sure, I can set blank background (per page in a note), export it to pdf, and then re-set it, but it should be easier.

Scroll bar?
Please consider adding a scroll bar so that we can turn off finger recognition and still be able to move down the page. This would get rid of the problem of palms inadvertently brushing against the screen and making stray marks.

Make it possible to give colors to the folders
It would be easier to find a specific folder if it was possible to change the folder's color.

Rotate feature
Please add rotation option for the selected items. I mean after snipping the data we need we cannot rotate it in the required direction. This is making a huge difference between squid and other writing tools. I think this is something which comes under basic category. Suppose that we have drawn something for two to three hours and suddenly felt that the direction is wrong we cannot delete everything and draw again instead if we have this feature we can simply rotate it in the required direction.

E ink support
Support or improvement for e ink note taking devices with active stylus, (sony epd, onyx boox, bouye likebook), this will require the app to not redraw the whole screen as an LCD display but as an EPD (and allowing some ghosting to reduce stylus latency, as do the native notes apps on these devices)
Also a grayscale UI, with maybe showing color names when hovering the pen over the available colors.23 votes -
Import bookmarks within PDF
Bookmarks in PDF should be imported - if big PDF file is imported (more than hundreds of pages with many bookmarks), they're useless if you don't have bookmark

It would be helpful to add space around PDF pages so you can write around content rather than on top of text, images, etc.

Rotate page
Would be better if you can rotate the notes/page, especially for the the football template, it is difficult to write sideways or upsidedown with the templates we have now

Create circle from the center
This would allow you to draw a perfect circle rather than some variation of an oval.

Create table of content for large imported pdf documents.
It would be really time saving if large pdf documents had a table of content like most pdf readers do. Having to scroll page by page to get to page 2000 of a 3000 page pdf document is not really fun... and imagine you had to then return to page 500... argh!

Scroll button or auto scrolling
when you want to take notes and really make use of the size of the page you have to scroll either to the right or down to get more paper. This is quite annoying because you always have to lift your hand then swype and start writing again. It would be useful to add a navigation to do this either automatically or through a button. The button should have the option to scroll either to the right or down. When the button could move one page size (=size of the current view) in the chosen direction this would be awesome.

A day planner option. Or the option to have pages with dates listed on them. Even a time stamp option would be great.

Enable Air View Scrolling
Add the ability / option to use Air View scroll when using a Samsung S-Pen on Galaxy Note 2. In the samsung apps you can scroll by hovering the S-Pen near to the edge of the screen. It would be great if we could scroll around notes like this.

Be able to choose note color for each note type
I currently use a note app that allows me to choose the color of paper for each note type; secured note, which I include my passwords, docs (ID cards, passports banks, acct etc)

Allow a screen recording feature
Android needs a quality whiteboard recording app. Squid is a high quality note taking app that can be a great presentation app when used live. Allowing a screen recording feature would allow for an awesome presentation app anytime.

One Click Cloud Export
I purchased cloud export feature. However, right now it takes too many steps to export. I also set up automatic export but the interval is too long. Sometimes I want to be able to view the doc on a different machine (say laptop) right after I finish editing.
Currently if you want to export a note:
Within a note, MENU - EXPORT - SHARE - ADD TO DROPBOX - SELECT FOLDER - ADD.

change transparency of page lines
Small thing, but it would be nice to change how bold my square grid is. I know you've provided a choice between bold or not bold but I would ideally like to tailor it more to my liking. Love the app by the way
