An error occurred while saving the comment Sarah commentedMetamoji note has this feature and it's super nice. It would be cool if Papyrus added something like what Metamoji note has.

This is something we're investigating while designing the Squid10 note editor.
An error occurred while saving the comment Sarah commentedThis and it would be cool to have a quick bar of different pens (set thickness you selected), highlighters, etc.
Or maybe the quick bar is preset options like
* Type (Pen, highlighter)
* Color
* Thickness
* (Opacity for highlighter)That way you can make a set of predefined pens or highlighters you most use.
I would enjoy the vertical bar of choices on the side that has a grip so you can move it around the page if needed. Also if it had a button to rotate it to a horizontal bar that would be great too.
I typically find myself using the same 5 presets in my notes, so this would help speed up my note taking.

I wanted to provide an update on this in light of our recent major update to make backups work at the note level along with our new support for Google Drive. These were both major milestones on the way to support sync. Now that backups work at the note level, we plan to continue our work to build a sync solution that works across devices using cloud storage provides like Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box. The advantage to this approach is that we continue to have zero access to your note data. Everything lives on your device and your selected cloud storage provider. However, this also means the solution must be resilient to users modifying data in the cloud (intentional or not). We don't have an ETA yet, but this continues to be one of our highest priorities. We really appreciate your patience and feedback on this idea!
An error occurred while saving the comment Sarah commentedWhen I first saw the cloud services I was excited because I assumed it was syncing, but was very sad to see it was just a backup feature. I save my notes as a pdf at the end of every class to my google drive, so the backup feature wasn't what I was really looking for.

This is one of our top priorities for the Squid10 note editor.
An error occurred while saving the comment Sarah commentedI think it would be cool to have one of those "multi-use buttons" where you touch the button and drag in a certain direction. So touch and drag left would go to pen, touch and drag right would be eraser, touch and drag down would do select.

An error occurred while saving the comment Sarah commentedI agree with this. Sometimes I find myself stuck and having to erase and re-draw or re-write something.
Also adding to a similar topic, the selection can be a bit off sometime. It selects the largest area you have hovered over instead of just within the drawn space grabbing more than you wanted sometimes. Does this happen to other people too?

3 finger touch and drag sounds like a really cool way to add vertical space.
But what about if you have a limited page size and your text at the bottom goes over? Would it move to the next page?
Maybe it would be cool to have continuous pages underneath each other?
