    You can already do this and it tells you how on web page. Pdf import + highlighter is $5, tool pack is $3, and our backup is $3. The only thing you can't get is the backgrounds. It offers it as premium or just this feature in the bottom left when you try to access it.

  3. Bring pen tools like Inkredible Pro app. That's what squid lacks behind. Use this app you will get to know about beauty of writing.

  4. Make the highlighter go behind the normal pen texts, so that the pen color doesn't get changed by the highlighter.

    It never mentions paying gives you a highlighter eraser although you would assume it's erasable. I think it should be as well but you can easily get around it by pressing undo...

    Have variations of pen tool, such as a fountain pen or ballpoint pen similar to INKredible competing app. Squid is easier to use but I find my handwriting looks much better/more readable with fountain pen from INKredible.
