Make the highlighter go behind the normal pen texts, so that the pen color doesn't get changed by the highlighter.

It makes it look much more clean and it avoids that the highlighter difuminates the things that you wrote.

+1 really looking forward to seeing this implemented. One of the missing features to make this tool almost perfect for me!

This is one of the most disappointing thing about this app. Seems like there was no update on this since 2014, so I guess squid users will have to live with it or use something else...

If you add highlights three or more times over the text, the text will not be visible. (글자 위에 형광펜을 2~3번 덧칠하면 글자가 안보입니다.)

Exactly! Highlighter is now a paid tool but not work that good as expected. It makes the highlighted text unreadable...

When the highlights are placed on top of the letters, the letters become blurred and this is very ugly. All other applications from competitors support this.

Many other note taking apps have this feature and it is definitely quite annoying when you allow for colors but any color selected is changed up by the highlighter.

Can't believe this was suggested in 2015 and still isn't implemented. Ten minutes into my paid subscription and I'm annoyed at this lacking functionality.

please make the highlighter not to overlay the texts inks or lines

This would automatically add the possibility to make the highlighter more eye-catching because you could use well covering colors without hiding the actual text. Great idea!

The marker tool should be a multiply layer, not an add color layer. If you change it to multiply, then black text will remain black no matter how many times you stroke the marker pen. Only the white and other colors will be marked, as it happens on real paper. Today, if I stroke several times a black text it will become more yellowish on every stroke (since the first stroke) and eventually it will disappear in yellow.

The highlighter should preserve the visibility of black ink underneath it even at 100% opacity. ("Darken-only"/"soft light" blending)

Have an option to have the highlighter underneath the PDF layer so the text would pop out and not be overwritten.

Please make the highlighter tool mark behind the pen so that no matter how dark the highlighter, the pen will always be above it
