    Please don't do it! Line smoothing absolutely ruins the writing experience.

    You can't be confident that the line you make will actually show up on the digital paper with line smoothing.

    For a true writing experience smoothing has to be turned off.

  2. Make the highlighter go behind the normal pen texts, so that the pen color doesn't get changed by the highlighter.

    The highlighter should preserve the visibility of black ink underneath it even at 100% opacity. ("Darken-only"/"soft light" blending)
