Insert audio recording and playback
I like to record lectures as they are given and have several solutions for doing so. I'd love to see it as a unified function in a single app, and Papyrus is seriously one of my favorites. :)

Improve integration with Evernote by re-using note title
Evernote integration today seems to only attach the PDF to Evernote. It would be handy if Evernote was pre-populated with the note title and any keywords (see my other feature request) when the PDF is attached.

Change page type of an entire note
Let's say you have a note with a lot of pages and you want to print them. Most users use for handwriting a page type with lines or squares. But if you want to print the note out, the squares and lines are only good for draining your ink empty.
So I would suggest to add the feature to the "export to pdf" dialogue where you should be able to select: "different page type - blank" aso.
As I use papyrus in my physic studies (lectures at university) for ALL written notes (>20 pages per day), I suggest under the…

Export to Windows Journal format
You might have to reverse-engineer the file format but that gives you access to a fully editable file format for millions of Windows PCs (not just the Tablet PC type). PDF export is useful but not sufficient in itself. Ideally if you could replicate the entire functionality of Windows Journal (pen functionality at least) with definable paper (especially color, size and and lineother pattern) that would be a reason toa ctuall buy a Galxy Note 10.1 (or equivalent).

Home screen widget for quick view of note
A home screen widget that would let you view a note and quickly open it to edit it.
267 votesYou can add a shortcut to your Home Screen to open a specific notebook (see http://feedback.squidnotes.com/knowledgebase/articles/1179331) or to create a new note in a specific notebook (see http://feedback.squidnotes.com/knowledgebase/articles/1179328).
It does not appear to be possible to create a widget that allows for taking handwritten notes directly on the Home Screen (due to the fact that you need to be able to swipe left/right to get to different pages on your Home Screen). Please vote here if you’re interested in a widget that shows a particular note on your Home Screen (and allows you to open it quickly to edit it).

See total number of pages
I miss that I can't see how many pages a note have. Now I must check on the arrow all the time. If it said 1(2) then I would know I have two pages and I became happy!

Index-able/bookmarkable/tab locations on pages
Index-able pages - this i pure genius and I have only seen lecturenotes have this.
It basically lets you create "bookmarks" or "tabs" (if using a real notebook) in your notebooks. It auto-creates a table of contents as well. Test out how lecture notes does this. It is very powerful and flexible and makes it very easy to come-back and reference information you've added to notes/notebooks.
This is kind-of done in papyrus by creating multiple "notes" inside a notebook, but not as powerful as being able to select a point on a page and saying "this is about whatever" and…

System-wide pen shortcut to start new note
System-wide pen shortcut/gesture to start a new note, like the pen double-tap (button pressed) on Galaxy Note. It works anywhere, no matter what app you are currently in, brings up a new empty note "on top" of what you are doing, allowing you to quickly jot something down. I use it every day!

Yellow legal paper
It's always interesting, when giving presentations (I teach note-taking) to offer pics of 'real' notepads. So I suggest perhaps different backgrounds, such as legal note pads.

It’s still on our todo list to support this directly, but I wanted to mention that it’s currently possible to password protect a note in a roundabout way: by importing a password protected PDF into the note. This will password protect the note with the password of the PDF. You can even delete the PDF from the note and the password will remain on the note.

Scroll bar?
Please consider adding a scroll bar so that we can turn off finger recognition and still be able to move down the page. This would get rid of the problem of palms inadvertently brushing against the screen and making stray marks.

Configurable line spacing
It would be nice if the line spacing could be manually specified to allow for narrower/wider line spacings to suit the user. Personally I would love to have a size half that of the current narrowest so I could line up the midpoints of my characters.

Continuous vertical scrolling (continuous page mode)
It would be nice to be able to start writing on the next page while still viewing the bottom of the previous page.
1,195 votesThis is something we're investigating while designing the Squid10 note editor.
As mentioned previously, this is challenging since notes in Squid can contain both fixed and infinite sized pages, but we have some ideas to make this work that we will be exploring.

Fast scrolling
I often want to look back through earlier parts of my note. This is currently slow. Perhaps cached images could be used to make scrolling fast.

Insert/Remove vertical space
When I take notes I frequently need to go back later to insert additional material at a specific place. It would therefore be very important to have the ability to create such space by moving all material below further down. You can find this well implemented in the Microsoft Journal software, for example, see http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IE/windows-vista/Format-a-Journal-note
