Save colors to a palette so they don't "disappear"
The current functionality for colors saves the 12 most recently used colors. Every time you create or select a new color, the oldest color gets bumped off the list.
I use a set of colors to categorize list items, format headings, highlight items, etc. Being able to change the color of anything in a note is a really powerful and core feature.
However, I need more than 12 colors (not an infinite number - 20 would be great). And I want to be able to play around with new colors, without having my "palette" overwritten. It's a real pain to…

Make all exported pages have the same size and zoom
If I export a note with multiple pages, each page will export scaled to fit the page. If using college ruled lines or graph paper, it it important that the rules or graphs are the same scale on each page. Presently this does not happen.

Ability to Create Templates for Individual notes/forms and Notebooks!
Allow building of templates both for individual notes - but also extend idea to a notebooks as well. Say I have 10 different formats or base forms I complete with repetition. If I could build a template for the repetitive work - and simply spring it to life - that would be very useful. Going a step further you could extend this concept to notebooks as well. Thank you! Scale/measure on imported pdf's.
It would be really nice to measure distances on a scaled imported PDF. I use the PDF import feature to bring in scaled drawings all the time, but I can't measure distances and provide immediate feedback to those types of questions for my work.

Remove the checkered appearance when navigating page
The checkered appearance that shows whenever navigating outside the currently viewed screen was quite troublesome to my eye to an extent that had me stop using the app despite the dozen other wonderful features, if this was replaced with an area that resembled the actual background it would be wonderful

Page quantity of a note
It would be useful to know how many pages note consists of before opening it. So perhaps adding number of pages near the date of the note might work

confirmation for cancellation
I have a tendency to accidentally delete paragraphs worth of notes because I click cancel or tap out of the type box, there should be a confirmation dialogue for when we tap the cancel button, so we don't delete our work

Allow editing of files in place, without making copies
I want to open a PDF in Google Drive, annotate it, and then save that file back to Google Drive without creating a new file, and having one file annotated with notes and the other plain. iAnnotate on the iPad does this and it was an integral part of my workflow as a teacher, and I'm really missing this on a Chromebook.

Quick draw / auto shape detection for lines, circles, and other shapes
Auto shape detection. This is especially very important for lines. Notability in iOS has this. If you draw a line and hold it for a second it will become a straight line that you can adjust. Simple convert to shapes will do for rest of the shapes. Best note taking app on the market, my GPA (civil engineer) went up 0.5 just thanks to you guys. Well done !

Allows you to copy sections of pictures and paste them easily, somewhere else on the same page or document.

Create a sort of link between the annotation and the text in the pdf it refers to
when importing the pdf into a note, create a sort of link between the annotation (maybe in a new added page) and the text in the pdf it refers to
