It’s still on our todo list to support this directly, but I wanted to mention that it’s currently possible to password protect a note in a roundabout way: by importing a password protected PDF into the note. This will password protect the note with the password of the PDF. You can even delete the PDF from the note and the password will remain on the note.

This is something we're investigating while designing the Squid10 note editor.
An error occurred while saving the comment AJ commentedOh come on! It's 2015! Many handwriting apps now have some sort of palm rejection. Even a zoomed in version of the text box while suffice. It feels so odd to write with my wrist hovering in the air.
E.g. Supernote's baseline function is pretty neat.

Audionote currently offers this feature but it isn't that great. Papyrus is an all encompassing app which needs a few additional features (mainly palm guard and audio recording while handwriting/typing) here and there to surpass Notability.
