Protect notes or notebook with password
It’s still on our todo list to support this directly, but I wanted to mention that it’s currently possible to password protect a note in a roundabout way: by importing a password protected PDF into the note. This will password protect the note with the password of the PDF. You can even delete the PDF from the note and the password will remain on the note.

I submitted this idea too and I'd love to password protect my personal journal notes.

I allow my kids to use the app as a coloring app and would like to have my personal notes untouched

This app has waiting for this feature for years judging from the comments. This is one reason I no longer use this app. This is such a basic feature anymore yet quid does not have it? I even tried the importing of a password protected pdf as recommended but when I try that it gives me an error and doesn't import. So yeah, that's not even a quick fix.

I, too, would like to see password protection added. But there are ways to work around it.
Some Android devices offer a Secure Folder option. I'm not sure if it's available on all devices but if you have it then simply add Squid to the Secure Folder and create notes in there.

That would be great. Maybe as a Premium Feature!

Yes, I have just installed Squid in order to keep some fairly sensitive notes. I'd love to see a password option.

노트별로 잠금기능, 또는 노트북(폴더)을 잠그는 기능이 있으면 좋겠습니다!

I agree, a password/passcode and fingerprint option to open the app would be great, as I use Squid on a daily basis for all note taking.

I recently started journaling and would feel more comfortable if I had privacy with the use of a password.

Hello,
I think that one of the best features that are missing,
Is the possibility to create private note groups.
so that those notes would not appear in The recent notes, and
also be closed for security reasons.best Regards,

You have a lot of trouble.
We hope that you can improve the security of your notebook or individual notes (such as setting passwords).
There is a sense that security is a little difficult to use now. -

People have been wanting this feature for several years. Is there any intention of adding it in the future?

There is no mention on privacy and security of the notes. Is this intentional?
How can I ensure that somebody is not looking into them either manually or using automated tools? -

Please move the direct password protect feature up to the top of the todo list. I see the original idea was posted in 2012. Hopefully this will be added soon.

Don 't waite too long please with this feature. It's quintessential!

I am a psychotherapist and I use Squid for session notes. Can an option be created to require a PIN to open the app so that notes can be locked and protected if someone pilfers the laptop?

This is a Must for any notetaking app, Squid should have password feature Asap! This app is so great but the lack of security makes it very vulnerable thus an incomplete great note app.

I fully support this idea as well. I'm concerned that it's 2019 and still nothing has been done....
