Changed this feature request to just be for rotating items. If you also need support for grouping, please vote here: http://feedback.squidnotes.com/forums/177239-general/suggestions/33430924-group-objects

Swiping in the 'edit 'mode causes text to be erased. But I am sure this would be easy to implement atleast in the 'view'mode.

Since you have decided to take on this feature, it would be nice to also have the edit ability to insert words within sentences in such a way that the words at the end of the edited line automatically move down to the next line and all the rest of the words in the paragraph also get adjusted accordingly. This will be a great feature as it will avoid the hassle of erasing and rewriting sentences instead of just quick-edit, and appears related to the 'creating space' feature.
Three finger touch-and-drag seems to be an easy and a quick way for adding space between paragraphs, etc vertically or horizontally.

I think being able to create bookmarks within a note would be a great feature for students and professional alike who may use Papyrus for note taking.
It would be great if the application had the ability to create bookmarks linked to main headings within the notes. These bookmarks can then appear in a designated area or on the top of the 1st page. Clicking on the bookmark should take us to the particular heading / keyword / image, etc that it is linked to within the note. This will be particularly useful when a note is several pages long and also in case of 'infinite' page size notes.
Perhaps it would be possible to export to PDF with the bookmarks. I definitely vote for this feature.
This is a MUST feature for any Professional Note Taking App. This is because it exponentially adds to the FREEDOM of taking notes, as the imagination goes. Ability to rotate selected Text will be a great addition as well.
