Feature Ideas for the App
A great feature for the app would be to have some kind of bar at the bottom of the screen where you can place your palm so that it doesn't affect the screen while you try to write. Even though once you touch with the stylus your hand isn't supposed to affect the screen it still does. Also would be nice to have a zoom feature to allow writing on PDF files to be easier.
Typing could be modified as well. I'm not a huge fan of the typing in a small box. This app would be great if you…

Auto eliminate (or archive) notes by date passed.
I take notes for events that occur in a certain date. I always forget to erase the notes after the event has ended, so I end up with an excess of notes.
It would be awesome (and I would pay for) the chance of setting an "end date" when creating the note and choosing whether to automatically erase or archive it after the "end date" passes.4 votes -
No menu should be at the bottom
Could you make an option to move bottom menu area to the top so that my hand doesn't touch any thing while I am writing?
Thank you.

Please add support for Hex3 YuFu pressure website BLE stylus
This new stylus claims to support android but no apps support it. Papyrus could be the first! I have long awaited the ability to use a Wacom style device with only Bluetooth. This pen is just that. It can send angle, pressure, and shake data over Bluetooth LE.

add a setting to disable device-/android-buttons and ambient light sensor
Depending on the orientation of the device I keep pushing the hardware buttons, or blocking the ambientlight sensor, resulting in droping out of the app or getting the back light dimmed.
I would like to have the option to disable them all together when editing a note.

Automatic PDF import
It would be useful if it were possible to point Papyrus to a folder and every time it is launched it imports any added PDF documents and delete those that were removed.

Share Note with Other Users (with Full Screen Widget)
It would be great if I could share a single note with another user that would by synced with my device.
My example would be if I could share a Note with my wife/kid/employee. Then, they could put a widget to this note on a secondary screen (full or half scree).
Then, have the note stay in sync. When I make a change, they see it. Optionally, I could allow them to edit this note and keep it in sync.
It would be like a note board that I could draw on. I could put a note on her list…

Dual View:Zoomed(editable) and Full(view only/navigation)
I've seen multiple note taking apps that have a dual view ui where one is zoomed in to be writable by passive stylus and the second view be a navigation and/or full view; however, their overall experience is poor. This would greatly improve the experience for passive stylus users.

Cleaner Main Menu
The left side bar on the main menu should be a dropdown list that I can pull down as needed. This would allow you to have 2 columns in portrait and 3 columns in landscape mode to view your notes.

Add "Export to Default"
For Instance :
My preferred application for collecting notes is MS OneNote. Taking handwritten notes in OneNote for Android is not possible. So I use Papyrus and have to
1) export it as *.jpg and then
2) choose from the share-menu the OneNote-Option.I want to shorten this by Setting *jpg as Default and OneNote as Default.
So I only have to choose a (new) command "Export to Default" and
all is done !4 votes -
add a feature to select an area of my notes and link to a task
The thought behind this is that I want to be able to mark some of my notes as actions and even tag areas that are important. For the actions I would like to be able to link these to a new task that is created when I tag the area as an action.

Set Default writing tool
Like the default layout and such, add a option to set your default writing tool to text or pen. So entering text is quicker and no need to click 2 extra things

Under the tools tab, where you select your pencil/eraser/cutting tool etc., add a scrolling tool, simply denoted by a grabbing hand.
This will help us scroll around the paper without having to use two fingers.

Do not limit how far out you can zoom out
On an infinite page with a lot of content, 10% zoom isn't enough to get an overview

Dynamic node tree
like foldertree, but from the top down, and make the creation of nodes and saving go behind the scenes, so the usercan make a graphical flow chart that is easily editable and has the ability to link in any file of any type.
