I wanted to provide an update on this in light of our recent major update to make backups work at the note level along with our new support for Google Drive. These were both major milestones on the way to support sync. Now that backups work at the note level, we plan to continue our work to build a sync solution that works across devices using cloud storage provides like Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box. The advantage to this approach is that we continue to have zero access to your note data. Everything lives on your device and your selected cloud storage provider. However, this also means the solution must be resilient to users modifying data in the cloud (intentional or not). We don't have an ETA yet, but this continues to be one of our highest priorities. We really appreciate your patience and feedback on this idea!

Yup. Syncing paramount. No two way around this. This one feature would cause this app to move to the front of the line with its peers. And past others. But, let's not make this feature of the monthly subscription. As many of us I have already paid for individual purchases. And this should be just another individual purchase. But yes it could be also included in the monthly subscription for those who do not make individual purchases or had not previously. Also please don't put this on your own server. Make this open to any backup app that each one of us decides where we want our information backed up. I have my own cloud server at home that I backup data manually currently. But automation would be great.

If implemented, there should be option to sync either device to device in a collaboration way. And through an online storage way as well. Though, I do not, nor will I use online storage.

This here would be phenomenal to implement. But, if you do implement this. Please allow it to be device to device. Scenario one and one that I am almost always in, phone is my Wifi hotspot, and I use both phone and tablet to write and sign documents. Scenario two and seldom used in my case, tablet is connected to WiFi at some location. Not that I would sync any files on any other WiFi connection other than my own. For obvious reasons. The last one would be syncing through someones server. Which I personally never ever do. Not even the contacts on my phone are synced to my Gmail account. Not that I have something to hide. It is the principal of the matter to me. Any way, one reason for syncing between devices is that, it helps in preserving our data in case something goes woefully wrong with a device. And it happens quite often to me. As I like to implement mods to the system. But, I always do a TiBu before a mod, so I'm covered. But device synchronization would make it one less thing to backup. Any way, please make this happen.

We don’t disagree that there is a market for a cross-platform handwritten note taking app! We would love for Squid to be available on all platforms. We’re a small team and we don’t currently have the resources to expand to Windows (or iOS). We hope this will change someday!

What would it take to get this done? Or, is there some legal aspect th=at is tied into the Android/ google side of things that is stopping this?

I just wrote Steadfast an email regarding this particular subject. I use both Windows and Android versions. The Android version far supercedes the Windows version. Steadfast needs to update the Windows version to be on part with Android. Even if it is only a side load app and not on the Microsoft store. I really want to be able to synchronize between my Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition and my Thinkpad 260 Yoga. Particularly, because my 10.1 is getting old and is going to die relatively soon. I prefer to not have to print all of my notes out on paper. Much easier to sun to another device where I could continue to be able to edit them. Just saying.

There needs to be more than this. The windows app either should have a team working on it so that it is comparable with local backups and cross platform. Or, it should be released to the open source community so that it can be built up properly. I am an avid user of the Android app. But, I also use a Windows tablet with pen. This app could be awesome.

Yes, make it available to be saved to a local drive. I do not want to share to "Microsoft Approved Apps". Perhaps Steadfast does not care about Windows users any more.

I second this. The windows version should be just like the Android version. Nothing less, nothing different. The same. Come on Steadfast, lets get this done.Please.

I am not a big fan of cloud anything. But, today a cross platform cloud management would have saved me a ton of time. You see, I first started using Papyrus when it came out. Or at least shortly thereafter. So, being on Android, I was so useto being able to export directly to any number of apps in my arsenal. Now, I am using a Lenovo X1 Yoga. I created a lot of documents for work. When I went to upload them to my Google Drive, yes, I am aware this is a cloud service. I should have stated that I am not a fan of using multiple cloud services. Having data strewn about the net is not something that I care to do. It gets messy that way. Plus, I already have to many accounts for things online. Any way, I was not able to email or load the documents to my Drive account. And my company could not receive them. I have not gotten pId in a month. And it was time to do so. Needless to say, I should have stuck with purchasing another Android device and a cheaper laptop. Oh well, that is something I can not change at this point. So, I would like to second the cross platform ability. Because even though I was to late. I did manage to borrow some one else's Android tablet, put my account on it, install Squid and re do all of my documents. And just loaded them to my Drive account. So, I can now get paid in another three weeks. Now, I am not upset at The developer for this. As I was in contact with him. He stated that being able to export to other apps on the windows platform is a bit more challenging than it is on Android. I can understand that. As Microsoft as big as they are and as modern as Windows 7 and 10 are. Sucks for their close minded ways. I believe that Squid should be made for Linux as well. How? Not a clue. As it does not have an app store. Any way, cross platform exchange wod be great. Also, same features on Windows version as is on Android would be a great thing as well.

I am on board with this very much. Many times I could have used this feature. The ability to take one pdf page from a document, copy it and past it before or after another page in a separate note or a pdf would be immensely helpful. Please OH pleas add this feature!
