I wanted to provide an update on this in light of our recent major update to make backups work at the note level along with our new support for Google Drive. These were both major milestones on the way to support sync. Now that backups work at the note level, we plan to continue our work to build a sync solution that works across devices using cloud storage provides like Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box. The advantage to this approach is that we continue to have zero access to your note data. Everything lives on your device and your selected cloud storage provider. However, this also means the solution must be resilient to users modifying data in the cloud (intentional or not). We don't have an ETA yet, but this continues to be one of our highest priorities. We really appreciate your patience and feedback on this idea!

I second this. I can restore the backup from my phone to my tablet or vice versa, but if I have new notes on both devices I would lose data from one of them doing this. The changes need to be merged into the cloud database in near realtime rather than just backing up / replacing the whole database.

I use the app on both my Note 3 phone and Note 10.1 tablet and I need to be able to make changes from either device interchangeably. I paid for the cloud features so I could do things like make a shopping list on my tablet and then use the list from my phone at the store, etc... this is a critical feature in my opinion.

It’s still on our todo list to support this directly, but I wanted to mention that it’s currently possible to password protect a note in a roundabout way: by importing a password protected PDF into the note. This will password protect the note with the password of the PDF. You can even delete the PDF from the note and the password will remain on the note.

Anyone that wants to create a personal journal, todo list for a surprise party, or any other note with personal or sensitive information *needs* this feature. Please add this, I would be so grateful ... this is the key feature that would make Papyrus my only note taking app. Fantastic work, thank you!
