@Phil Reynolds, I think what folks are wanting (including myself) is the ability to set a note to automatically sync to Evernote periodically, as it gets changed in Papyrus.

I wanted to provide an update on this in light of our recent major update to make backups work at the note level along with our new support for Google Drive. These were both major milestones on the way to support sync. Now that backups work at the note level, we plan to continue our work to build a sync solution that works across devices using cloud storage provides like Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box. The advantage to this approach is that we continue to have zero access to your note data. Everything lives on your device and your selected cloud storage provider. However, this also means the solution must be resilient to users modifying data in the cloud (intentional or not). We don't have an ETA yet, but this continues to be one of our highest priorities. We really appreciate your patience and feedback on this idea!

I wonder if syncing to Evernote (to get OCR support, as requested https://papyrus.uservoice.com/forums/177239-general/suggestions/3907064-allow-direct-export-or-sync-with-evernote ) would also make it possible to then sync between devices?

It’s still on our todo list to support this directly, but I wanted to mention that it’s currently possible to password protect a note in a roundabout way: by importing a password protected PDF into the note. This will password protect the note with the password of the PDF. You can even delete the PDF from the note and the password will remain on the note.

I'd really like the ability to encrypt notes with a very strong encryption (eg, AES) so as to protect private/confidential information if my device were ever stolen or compromised.
