Buy premium backgrounds individually
To be able to buy premium backgrounds by piece. I won't pay montly when I'm only interested in 1 or 2 of them.

Add a one page year planner, with the dates as rows and months as columns.

Feature a line of stylus pens PLUS....
You could come out with a nifty line of stylus "pens" in fun colors with your logo and then with the purchase of the stylus could come a "stylus-holder-only" feature. Something ingenious that everyone will want to have but will have to get the pen first! Just a thought bc I went ahead and purchased a stylus for using the app anyway since I figured my finger would get annoying. Since many people might be doing that same thing for Squid specifically why not tap into that market (& create a unique "squilus," a squid-stylus, pronounced squ-eye-lus".) But in all…

Scale the eraser size with zoom
When working at a high zoom level (500, 1000%) the stock eraser doesn't scale down with the zoom level. The size of the eraser at these levels basically erases the entire screen you are viewing.
Likewise, when zoomed out (10%), the eraser is too small, and it is less efficient at erasing. I think the size of the eraser box should scale with the zoom so it feels the same in all frames.28 votes -

Since many tablets like Note 10.1 have limited storage it would be useful to allow setting default location of data to SD card

Search through handwritten notes
Handwritten notes will get converted to digital text in the background so they become searchable. This would happen just like Google Keep so that a note will become search almost immediately after you save it.

Home settings
Add the possibility to select the page to show at the app startup (recent, starred or a specific category) and to change the view of the notes (image or list, for example)

Cast to a Hangout.
At the moment you can only cast to a chromecast device, but chrome browser allows you to cast directly to hangout meeting... would be great if squid also supported this method of casting.

Numbering each line
Hi,
Please consider adding option to turn on numbering for each line. Here is how i use daily: example 1: I write affirmations 108 time each time. I don't have to keep track/count how many if the line started with 1 for first line 2 for second and so on. Example 2: my kids from elementary school have to practice writing spelling list each day, I would tell them to write each work 10 times each. Presentation mode for Pixelbook, allowing use in lectures by instructors
Presentation mode (no UI shown on mirrored screen) would allow better use by instructors during lectures. At this point, the display shows use of palettes, etc., that obscure the notes/pictures.

Add drop shadow option to shapes/text.
For PDF markup. This helps the markup to stand out more from original document. Also, curved lines, arrows and callouts.

Add 5mm dot grid paper background
I love Squid - it's perfect for taking notes. Great selection of page backgrounds. One major option is missing, however: 5mm dot grid. Those of us who Bullet Journal are used to 5mm spacing for lines, graph grids, and dot grids, usually on A5 paper. I love my Rhodia paper notebooks and my bazillion different pens, but if I'm going to be traveling, or just working without a desk, Squid is the perfect solution to integrate digital notes with my paper journals. Thank you!

Allow editing of files in place, without making copies
I want to open a PDF in Google Drive, annotate it, and then save that file back to Google Drive without creating a new file, and having one file annotated with notes and the other plain. iAnnotate on the iPad does this and it was an integral part of my workflow as a teacher, and I'm really missing this on a Chromebook.
