I have some ideas that I believe would please not only myself but also a large portion of the public who chose Squid (like me) among several other options that they tested.

The day I was going to uninstall the app because I thought I had found a better option and didn't have much hope for Squid, was the day that the update was released, which included a layout change and the ability to suggest changes.

Here is my first suggestion:

1. On the home page, I suggest adding the option to organize notebooks into main folders. For example, a main folder called 'Quantum Physics Notes' could contain several notebooks with specific subjects such as 'Laws of the Universe' and 'How X, Y, Z'. Another main folder could be 'Sketches' with notebooks on subjects like 'Drawing Hands' and 'Drawing Faces'.

2. I suggest adding a button or option to the main toolbar or the three-dot menu to allow users to add emojis to their notes. These should be simple system defaults that can help users who learn better with images and associations like me. Emojis are quick, practical, and simple, making them a useful addition to note-taking.

3. I would like there to be an option to start a recording or insert audio into notebooks, this was one of the things that almost made me leave Squid in search of another app.
