Favorite Pens / Saved Pens / Presets
It would be nice to be able to create a pen (size & color) and then save it as a preset so I can quickly select it without having to manually adjust both the size and color every time I want to change pens.
This is something we're investigating while designing the Squid10 note editor. This is one of the options for Fewer clicks to switch tools that we are exploring.

I agree. Switching between different pens and colors can be cumbersome

I would love the ability to add (at least, I have a 12.2 tablet so more would be preferable) three boxes with customizable choices like a red underline, blue box .4 blue pen. This way, I could flip from items I use all the time much quicker by just using tapping the box I customized to my favorite I presets.

As a student i would like to click the spen button and be able to rotate through preset pens/highlighters (at least 2) back to the original tool so that I can speed up my note-taking time and not stumble along through lectures .
Lectures notes does this but it automatically goes back as soon as the spend is lifted. Also the previous version of snote used to do this.

As soon such a function will be available, I'll buy the tool pack

the software is amazing. But i often change color and brush types when i am making a note. It is a bit inconvinient that i should click on the dropdown menu then select what i want. That means 2+ extra clicks before i can do actual editing. In most of the cases I switch between 2 or 3 colors or brush types, can you make a sticky shortcut menu which contains the recently used ones? That will make color changing and tool changing more quickly and make the editing more efficiently.

I've had this same thought a few times. I very regularly use at least two different color pens on a daily basis.

like onenote:
Three default pen buttons. Each with their own color, thickness etc and always visible on the toolbar.
This makes easy switching between pens possible.. -

Since I am regularly using certain tool combinations like "pen; 0,5 mm; black", and "pen; 0,8 mm; violet" and many others, I would appreciate some kind of "one touch customizable tool kit" where I can save my regularly used settings for tools, and access them with only one touch.
It is like the pencil case you used in school, except you can freely create your own tools the way and in the combination you need them.
Other (for me less likeable but still) way to implement this kind of feature: an automatic list of recently or mostly used tools / tool combinations. This would make working on notes much faster and easier (and sometimes less bothersome, even though Papyrus is a great app), and also more creative in a certain way.

Yes, I couldn't believe it didn't have this feature.

A list/grid of recently used pressure settings, just like we already have with colors.
It could be icons with the "sample" of that pressure. Do you get me? -

It would be nice to have a calligraphy pen setting.

Right now the application requires several clicks to do something. For example, I take a screenshot of my textbook from the PDF viewer, then I want to insert it into the notepad. I have to click the photo icon, then screenshots folder, then tap the latest screenshot, then move the image, resize it, and click outside of it. That's a lot of taps for something so simple. How about a 1-click button that inserts the last screenshot taken?
Also, just to change the color you have to either fumble to find the s-pen button and then do the gesture, or pick a color manually using 2 taps. It becomes cumbersome after a while if you need to switch colors a lot. How about allowing 3 or 5 pen presets that can be on the top bar? Just one tap and you have your desired thickness, color.

Yes, l am all for it. With this addition, and by the time highlighter being launched, I can really say goodbye to S-Note!

was about to suggest this. just make a little 'save' button under the pentab and when I it is pressed it adds the current color/linewidth combination to the tab, similar to the recent colors field in the color tab
