Full screen writing mode
Full screen mode to maximize writing space. Have a little "-" sign that minimizes the toolbar into a tiny chevron symbol. You can restore the toolbar by double tapping the chevron symbol.
This is something we're investigating while designing the Squid10 note editor.

I completely agree with this. The title bar does not need to be there all the time. Can you hide it just like in the view mode. This way we can use all of the screen. Also, displaying the same tool bar all day will cause burn in issues in the long run.

There's app known as ARTECTURE with floating button with sunsets of pens, eraser, undo, redo, etc. So it will be awesome if you add this feature to squid so we can write on small screen in full screen mode easily or add transparent bar. Also if there is option to save our desired PRESET S-PEN option similar to SPEN PRESET IN SNOTE of galaxy note SNOTE. And Handrite pro like handwrtting input https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=my.handrite.prem
Thank you -

On Kitkat the status bar (showing battery, time, etc) is always visible. A full screen mode should hide this. The app's toolbar could roll up into a small widget when not in use freeing extra screen real estate.

Add an option to disable status bar.

I would like an option to make my note cover the entire display i.e. no icons or menus seen unless I choose them to.

Yes, the buttom system navigation bar had got to go — I too keep hitting it with my wrist and getting thrown out of Papyrus while taking notes in class.

Really need to hide the bottom bar! Tapping on the home button with my palm every time.

Also: drawing/erasing with a pen, as well as advancing pages, should work in full screen (with no need for an always-visible UI component for either).

In immersive mode, the controls that would need easy access are writing/erasing with a pen, and advancing (or going back) pages. None of these should need visible UI components.
