Sync between devices
I would like to have my notes automatically appear on my other devices with Squid installed. e.g. Create a note on device A and it appears on device B. If possible allow editing too from that device.
I wanted to provide an update on this in light of our recent major update to make backups work at the note level along with our new support for Google Drive. These were both major milestones on the way to support sync. Now that backups work at the note level, we plan to continue our work to build a sync solution that works across devices using cloud storage provides like Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box. The advantage to this approach is that we continue to have zero access to your note data. Everything lives on your device and your selected cloud storage provider. However, this also means the solution must be resilient to users modifying data in the cloud (intentional or not). We don't have an ETA yet, but this continues to be one of our highest priorities. We really appreciate your patience and feedback on this idea!

I like squid but realistically if this isn't resolved I'm going to have to choose another option in the next year

Any ETA regarding this? In my opinion it's crucial to have this sync so we can work with tablet or mobile. Please work on it!

Squid is my favorite note and drawing app, and I continue to happily pay for it since 2015 on my continually upgraded Samsung phones and tablets. Folder organization for files is great. How quick and easy it is to erase, lasso, and duplicate drawing elements is better than any other app. The ability to add and delete pages to/from individual files is also great.
For me, the ability to sync editable notes between my phone and tablet would replace the Samsung Notes app, since I only use to sync my notes on both phone and tablet. Hosting all my drawings and notes in just one app, Squid, would be note-taking nirvana.
Please keep up the great work and I look forward to the note syncing!

I have bought this product. Because, ı believed that ı could sync for all devices. And the other reason is pen sensitivity (thank you best sensivity). For sync wenote app is succesful with only an email. I think they have their own server for sync (there isnt pen usable) we are looking for sync with our all devices thank you for your working.

Please include a sync feature! I use this app for work notes and edits to pdfs and also would love to use it for home related stuff such as reminder notes, lists etc. however Only being able to use the app on one device, without being able to sync the notes to another is a huge disadvantage!

So GDrive "backup" addition is great, but this is not "sync". I'm looking for one space that keeps all my devices updated. So if I create, edit or delete a note on one device, the next time I open Squid on another device, it updates.

It's been 5 years. I find it hard to believe it's "high" on your list of priorities. LOL

How's this coming along?

Off the top of my head it seems like there would be 2 ways to accomplish this. 1st, Squid would have to host their own cloud farm to store notes probably for an extra fee per month, or 2nd if they had a way to make the existing cloud backups "live" instead of just a restore point. With the latter there might be some issues if Device A updates a note but is not connected to the internet and then later Device B updates the same note before the first could be synced.

Syncing between all my devices is absolutely essential for me. I have been a "premium user" of Squid for years now. If this feature doesn't come before my annual subscription runs out, I will switch to the free Samsung Notes. Otherwise, it doesn't make sense for me to continue to renew my subscription. Almost every other solution (including Samsung Notes) offers this sync!

Couldn't a sync feature be realised by allowing the user to set the root directory where all notes are stored?
For example, I would then select the same folder within my OneDrive on all my devices. The syncing would then be handled by the respective cloud service and no separate server infrastructure would be required on behalf of Squid. -

A syncing feature will require programming effort. However, every app I use has this feature. If a syncing feature is not rolled out soon, I suspect that squid will cease to be viable as a product.

The fact you can can't synch between devices is very disappointing. However I won't abandon Squid because of that. It's a good app for drawing which us my principal use. For important written notes I use OneNote. My concern is that Squid will disappear because of competition with the big guys. You have to solve this problem.

Please, please, please give us this feature! I can only access my texts and lecture notes on my tablet, would love to have them on my laptop as well so I don't have to carry around two devices.

I agree, I heavily use Squid on ChromeOS/ Chromebooks. It's weird that syncing between devices is still not available.

If you can create PDF or/and JPG, you should be able to export the native information such as
note1.sqd
to Box, Dropbox, oneDrive, etc
