fix or update to work on Windows 10
I updated my Surface to Windows 10, and didn't realize this would break my premium features. I considered re-purchasing (loved the app), but the link to the store is broken.
This app was used every day -- I've switched to One Note for now (ugh), but the more notes I build in OneNote, the less likely I am to go back to Papyrus.
Update: Squid is no longer available on Windows (it was removed some time ago). We hope we can bring Squid back to Windows someday, but right now we’re focused on Android and Chromebook support.
Previous response:
This issue was not related to Windows 10. Papyrus (now called Squid) was removed from the Windows Store due to a trademark issue (see http://feedback.squidnotes.com/knowledgebase/articles/716574 for more info). Squid is now back in the Windows Store, and your premium features should be working again. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused!

Hello, Squid Creators! You are the great people! Your app is the best app for HANDWRITING NOTES, which I ever seen. I also like very much your app for Windows at my Samsung and Surface Windows tablets. But I'm frustrated the option, which can't implement so much time. Yes, I mean "Synchronization". It's a great feature, which add you much people (rich people with not cheap tablets). If you will just add simple button (and not simple back-end mechanism) you will receive many loyal clients. And even if you do not want to emplement this feature in Windows app, you can share this project as "opensource" or sell it to Microsoft or Samsung - to they will end this not simple work.

i contacted you guys today since im unable to get it from the MS store, i tested MS products but wasnt satisfied what i have seen in the short video of squid looks incredible and i would love to test it on my surface. Unfortuntaly the store requires me to insert some sort of code and otherwise says currently unavailable. Im faciing several tests in near future and this would've been perfect

FYI, just updated the status to say that Squid is not available for Windows. As I said, we hope to bring it back someday, but right now we're really focused on Android and Chromebooks.

Hey, I use Squid all of the time on Android device and have previously imported an archive of my past notes in Android. I am switching to 2 in 1 Windows device and the Squid app in Windows Store does not appear to allow import of archived notes. Can you please confirm and fix, if necessary?

Such a BIG disappointment, that SQUID does not work on Surface Pro3 with Windows 10.
Despite many many emails (forcing me to use nasty language, which I dont like using), the Squid people seem shameless to the extreme.
They simply have no clue how to get on working on Win 10/ Surface Pro 3 combo.
The support does not have the grace to even reply in time. They sent me some vague question, asking for the LOGS. When I asked which logs and from where, there is no reply for last 2 weeks.
What kind of support works in this fashion ??
And such a pity, coz the app works like a miracle on my Galaxy Note5.
I have to use OneNote,m which I frankly dont like, but there is no alternative.
Someone suggested BAMBOO, which I remember worked beautifully on my iPad a few years ago,
Hopefully BAMBOO will work on Win10/SPro3 and I will never see the face of SQUID ever again. I am so upset with them.
A small tip for ppl sailing in the same 'wretched' boat as mine
--- Connect the Android phablet (Note 4 or Note 5) to the Windows 10 ultra-book via USB. There is superb utility called MIRROR by Wondershare, which mirrors the Note 4/5 screen onto a Windows 10 laptop screen and even the touch works like a song.
It is free for 6 hours of usage, but enough time to sense its utility.
Th workaround is very good and especially more so if you project the display onto a projector.

My laptop (now running Windows 10) - the Squid App (love it on Android) will not open any PDF's and I've purchased the premium feature (again) on the Window system. Any idea what is going on? At this point - I can't even use it!

Squid does not launch most of the time on my Surface Pro 3 running Windows 10. Doesn't matter how I try and launch the app, it flashes up for a second then nothing. Sometimes it will work after a reboot of the tablet, sometimes not.
Off to try Bamboo again.... -

I upgraded my thinkpad 10 from win 8.1 to win 10 pro and the app has stopped working
I tried reinstalling but in vain, it don't writes anything neither with the hand nor with the stylus
Could you help me? -

Why is this marked as completed? The app does not function on Windows 10.
I'm using Bamboo at the moment, but it's more of a drawing app than a note-taking app. I really loved Papyrus and would've considered paying for features, but there's no point if you can't get the app working.

Does not function on surface pro + windows 10. I use squid a lot on my android tablet and was getting used to use it on my surface, but it crashes all the time after update and is unusable. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it did not help. So I changed to onenote for now. It was also annoying that I could not import my android data base to windows pc.

Unfortunately, I have Windows 10 and Squid isn't working. I bought a couple of premium features (Cloud & PDF), however I'm unable to load my pdf file(s) to mark up. It works really well on my mobile, but not my ultrabook. Please help! I need this for college maths asap.

Squid Notes can now be installed on Windows 10 but it's completely broken. Even after re-installing from the store, Squid Notes:
- does NOT ink from the Surface Pro 2's Wacom stylus
- does NOT open previous notes
- crashes completely after trying to write on a new note or open an existing notePlease fix. Thank you.

I was using Papyrus app for my work use and had already purchased all of the premium features. Now that I upgraded to Window 10 I don't have them anymore. When I click on them to purchase it again it takes me to the Windows store but the link doesn't work. I need to fix this soon or I will have to go to onenote.

I just tried to purchase the premium features and when clicking on them nothing pops up, as if no link existed. Is this a bug?

I had to revert to Windows 8.1 on my Surface Pro 2 because Squid Notes is such an integral app on that device, but I really should be able to upgrade to Win10 after such a long beta testing period. Please fix this soon -- Win10 is so much better than Win8.1.
