SVG or PDF would work for me.
One important aspect would be that I could prepare templates where the page size matches my tablet's screen size at 100% zoom.

Agree! Bring in a PDF to use as template. I can create my own page with logos, etc. I presently do this in iOS tablet while using Zoom Notes.

I would love to be able to use a PDF file as a template. I can do this by opening a pdf but I have to retrieve a new one every time. It seems that being able to set a PDF as a template would be very useful for people like pilots and , like in my case, inspections that use a form
