Full screen writing mode
Full screen mode to maximize writing space. Have a little "-" sign that minimizes the toolbar into a tiny chevron symbol. You can restore the toolbar by double tapping the chevron symbol.
This is something we're investigating while designing the Squid10 note editor.

Also want the "hide toolbar" option.
Please make it happen. -

希望能提供全屏模式,让页面上没有固定显示的元素,避免烧屏,同时也能获得更好的沉浸体验

This is a must needed feature for users having small screens (medium sized tablets). As of now, approx 1.5 inch of the screen size is used by the toolbar + notification (status bar) pannel.
This can be fixed in many ways. First of all you can add an option to disable status bar while using app. This is absolutely possible in Android (without root). For instance, Poweramp Music Player has the option to disable the status bar completely while using the app.
Secondly, as the title reads, you can an option to minimize the toolbar with (-) sign and can open it again by tapping (+) sign or a similar idea. Many leading android note taking apps like Inkredible, lecture notes and some IOS apps like notability, good notes have the same function.
THIS ALL WOULD MAKE SQUID BEST OF THE BEST!!

Constantly opening apps accidentally when writing on the bottom third of the screen. Will need to find an alternative app if this glaring issue is not fixed.

When writing notes in class my wrist will press the buttons at the bottom of my tablet. Full screen is a necessity!

the blue tool box worries me of 'burn in' in oled devices...
all the features in the app is perfect, but I hope there's some option hiding the tool box automatically while editing. -

That will be the most awesome feature. Wonder when they will do it

The main very annoying problem to be resolved - avoid accidental exit from Squid or even starting other apps due to accidental pressing "Home" or one of two other soft buttons at the tablet bottom.
Possible solution: just add at the top switch to disable/enable these soft buttons...

I use this app for screen recording how-to videos for math. The app works great, but I would love to be able to hide the toolbar to get a little more real estate while working on the screen. This festure will make this already awesome app even better.

+1 on having full screen that overrides buttons, icons, etc. This is a huge issue now with v67 and on ChromeOS . Now that the shelf cannot be hidden in tablet mode it is difficult to use the bottom third of a standard sized page because the hand will naturally bump the shelf on occasion. Since Google is clearly not interested in letting us keep the option to hide the shelf and position it where we like, it would be great if Squid could make itself immune to the capriciousness of the ChromeOS update.

The menu bar is slightly distracting...
Maybe add the ability to hide, or minimize it? I have a sketching app that had this feature and it makes all the difference. -

Beim Schreiben mit einem intelligenten Stift kommt man logischerweise auf die Androidleiste (Home und Zurückbutton). Das unterbricht das Schreiben und nervt. Es wäre super, wenn diese ausgeblendet werden könnte!

Squid desperately needs a full screen option that hides the statusbar and toolbar. Especially when used in portrait mode on a Note 8.
