Export in native format
This would allow a user to edit notes between devices. For example create a note on Tab A and export to a Dropbox folder and then open and edit on Note 7 phone also running Squid. You can export to .pdf but then editing cannot be done on the original.
You can now export and import notes in the new Squid Note (.squidnote) file format! This allows notes to be backed up and shared between devices and people in their original editable format.

I agree. Even when closing a note after editing it appears edits previously made are no longer editable. This is significant shortsight for education market. Students and professors use squid to make notes on powerpoints or during lectures but those notes often have to be editable later—adding additional explanation to topics, moving annotations to make space for additional side commentary, making corrections or clarifications while studying.
Please PLEASE don’t flatten the pdf markup layers during close of a note or during export!!!

Hi,
First of all your app is great.I suggest you to improve one thing. I really think that saving project separately would be a great option. Now it is possible to save all projects to one bak file. Therefore now I must gather all projects in Squid app which is makes it less movable. My bak file constantly increases and now sending it through my mobile device becomes problematic.
Today everyone wants to operate his data freely.
I would be grateful if you could answer telling me about your philosophy concerning this issue.

being able to save and send notes in its editable form between user would have the bonus of increasing app sales. Win, win.

the option to save notes to a backup folder on device, sd card or cloud is fine but use the created folder and individual note names in their editable forms to seperate each note that is accessable in a file manager to be clicked on and open in squid. Maybe add export entire note or page in its editable form for colaberation purposes which would get more people to download your app.

this was a good idea. On the situation: I share a PDF(exported from a note) to my partner, he want to do some change, but he can't. when he give me the changed PDF, I need fix my file again.

This software save my notes in jpg, pdf e png. So sometimes I would like to open it in another table. Not the all backup, only one specific note. So I miss that one way to save in squid format.

I am using Ahsay Backup software that's the best backup solution has it all real-time archiving, unlimited versions of files, fully automatic, I'm really happy with it.

I was going to add this to the list. We use a template for service reports and once filled out we email it back to the office. Would be nice to "Save As" type the call number as the PDF file name and then export it to email all while leaving the original template untouched.

For group projects it would be nice if everyone could edit the notes of everyone else, so it would be nice if you could add a export function for a single note into a file that could be edited with Papyrus/Squid.

Be nice to be able to backup and / or export a notebook, note, entire journal all at once. I wanted to make changes to a note, but before I did, I had to: CLUNKY, CLUNKY, CLUNKIE --> go to the note, click on it, go into it, save it or export it (however you have it), then name it, and then be ready to make my changes.
Waste of time. There is no real value that can be sold with this type of design. You have a GREAT APPLICATION, but right now, it is going to be eaten alive by competition.
I would love to show to management to buy a site license (for potentially 25,000 clients because we are going totally to handhelds), but right now, I would force us to use something stupid like EverNote, which wastes even more time.
So with more design work and development, you have a million dollar, maybe 100 million dollar application.

I agree we need a way to save as or make a copy of a papyrus file. This would allow for me to make a template and reuse it.

Hi Guys!
Please give a "Save as" function to the menu ( I mean save as into Papyrus format and not into pdf or JPEG)! Without this I have to use the S-Note instead of Papyrus. ... Or inform me how can I activate this function in your program (andras.sved@gmail.com).Thank you
