It's frankly just silly that notes cannot be backed up to two of the most popular cloud services. Sigh... back to OneNote for me :/

Give us more Pen Styles e.g. "Pencil" and add possibility to create sub-categories for organizing notes

I really love your app and I am thinking to buy your premium features. Unfortenetly there are some things missing.
As a student, I think I have some experience and I want to contribute some suggestions.Now there is only one PEN available. In S-Note for example you could select a different Pen e.g. Pencil. With that you could write more accurate. Please give us a Pencil.

Subfolders, subnotes and configure the page as I would like.
1st) The selection tool should allow copying and sharing squid pages, between files and folders of squid itself, as if they were squid pages. The current version only allows to export as pdf, and yet one need to export to another App and then insert as pdf in the squid file. I wish it could be entered as an editable note from Squid himself.
2nd) Squid should allow to create subfolders into folders and subnotes into notes.

I've been using your product every day for two years, love it! But like anything, there is room for improvement.
- Allow the user to add custom pen/color combinations in the top. Example, I could have a red 5 mm pen button, a blue 3mm pen button and a yellow 5 mm highlighter. One press to change from one to the other.
- Allow the user to do the same but with shapes and specific colors. A button for a red circle, and a button for a green square.

Lasso function - to drag/drop, to copy/paste, to convert to text/formula, or to edit text
When you choose to lasso something, allow it to be dragged/dropped or copied for a subsequent paste.
Also, display how it would be converted to text or a math expression, so it can replace what was lassoed, if desired. Settings for font/size...

Tools for architectural concept sketchIng
A ruler, a compass and adjustable line smoothing/straightening could help produce better looking sketches. Also snapping to the grid lines could help to sketch ideas faster, finally rotating and mirroring selected sketches is really useful.

Would be great to add transparent layers to a pdf. These could be turned on/off to show/hide personal annotations.
Since I have a long list of notes i would love to generate subfolders (with a higher hirachy than 1)

Direct integration of Google Drive
I love using Squid, however there are two main features missing!
I recently realized that Adobe reader have a direct access (in-app) to Google drive! I store all the scientific paper I read and comment on my drive, and having the opportunity to open a file directly from the drive, annotates it, and that it would be automatically saved would be the dream!
A better organisation of the notebook with sub-folders.

Search or bookmark/Hotspot functionality
Having note search functionality would make this the most useful app available. Ideally search would support handwritten text recognition, but understandably not the simplest.
Another type of search functionality would be ability to add # or @ labels anywhere in the documents. Then the ability to view created label lists and associated note pages. For instance I would add @vactodo to any notes I want to review and act on during vacation. This would allow great organization, easy search and quicker identification of desired notes. Including quick gesture for inputting labels as well.
