Change transparent background when scrolling with monochromatic color
Transparent grill when scrolling or zooming is very annoying, if possible change or add an option to change the transparent background grill with monochromatic one (such as grey)

Detect & conform to, or if not, give user control over presented aspect ratio
When in presentation mode, papyrus (or android, perhaps) letterboxes or pillarboxes the tablet to fit the presentation display.
My personal perspective is that the whole point of the presentation is the viewers, their view should take priority, and the tablet view should be boxed. If there's no user setting, then that should be the default.
My current workaround is to present only PDFs and instead of creating a new page, I import a blank 16x9 pdf which properly appears on the casted display.

Quick method of enabling/disabling presentation mode
I see the enable/disable presentation mode in settings. However, when teaching/presenting, i often switch to playing back videos or showing live demos with the camera. right now my process is:
- exit pdf by tapping '<-'
- pull out menu options
- tap the settings icon
- tap casting and presenting
- tap enable <then, select the video/camera app, play video, and switch back to papyrus>
- tap enable
- close settings
- tap to select pdf
This is way better than what i was doing before i knew about the enable/disable presenter mode option (quit squid, disconnect display, reconnect display, show video, etc) but it gets tedious…

Bamboo tablet multi-finger gestures
I have a Wacom Bamboo graphics tablet and really hoped to be able to use it as I do on my note 4.
However none of the multi-finger gestures work - I cant zoom or pan. and this is the biggest feature of Squid for me.
Why is it I can't do any of the basic stuff? Crazy. Everything else recognises the multi finger.
Really hoped to start doing al of my brainstorming at work but it's useless as it is at the moment

Open source?
If Squid were open source the mighty developer army could do MANY of the trivial things listed in this feedback forum and you would have TOTAL control on don't pull requests get accepted and which don't. I would love to help make one of my most useful apps even better.

Scale the eraser size with zoom
When working at a high zoom level (500, 1000%) the stock eraser doesn't scale down with the zoom level. The size of the eraser at these levels basically erases the entire screen you are viewing.
Likewise, when zoomed out (10%), the eraser is too small, and it is less efficient at erasing. I think the size of the eraser box should scale with the zoom so it feels the same in all frames.28 votes -
Create circle from the center
This would allow you to draw a perfect circle rather than some variation of an oval.

Temporarily lock/freeze presentation
While presenting notes there should be a feature that allows users to freeze the presentation to the cast device but allow the user to manipulate notes still. This would be super helpful to allow students to copy content down while the teacher can scroll down to the next problem, zoom in or out and make changes. When the class is ready the screen could be released back to the live stream again.

Support for Google Drive and Classroom without the Android Apps!
Support to use Google Drive or Google Classroom without installing the Android Apps would be so helpful! Students and staff get very lost on how to import or export to and from Squid since Squid requires the Android apps to be installed. Couldn't you force users to sign into their Google account to allow access to Drive and Classroom without the apps?
12 votesGoogle Classroom
We've had discussions with Google, but, unfortunately, the APIs we need to integrate with Classroom do not currently exist. If this changes in the future, we would definitely like to integrate Classroom more closely inside Squid.
Google Drive
We recently added support for automatic backup to Google Drive. However, this only gives access to Drive files created by Squid. We will continue investigating whether we can provide a safe way for the user to select a file from Drive from within Squid, without having to use the Android app. We continue to hope that Google will update ChromeOS to allow the user to access their Google Drive from the file picker without having the Google Drive Android app installed.

Allow pages to be swiped between rather than having to tap the next and previous page buttons.

Allow pinch to zoom or bigger thumbnail view of pages in each note so that it is easy to jump to a wanted page in a note.
When there are so many pages in a note like class lectures it becomes so hard to move to a particular topic because you donot know where it is. You have to go through pages one by one. Thus defeating the idea of virtual notebook over a real paper pen notebook. You can easily look into pages. Kindly ALLOW PINCH TO ZOOM OR BIGGER THUMBNAILS OF PAGES SO THATVWE CAN HAVE A GLANCE OF THE CONTENT OF EACH PAGE WITHOUT OPENING IT ACTUALLY.

Dropbox application name should be changed
The application name when you connect to Dropbox needs updating - it says Papyrus, which is a bit confusing to a new user like me!

Reconsider the algorithm for the stroke erase tool.
It seems the algorithm used for checking 'collision' between the eraser and strokes could be vastly optimized. For reference, OneNote's stroke eraser works with nearly zero latency. In Squid, it works quickly on a new page, but soon grows sluggish as the stroke count goes up.
Love this app!

I want be able to open and store files directly from my Chromebook Samsung Pro.
I want be able to acces my dropboxfolders directly. I can't open if from my mounted drop box folder nor can I open it from the app itself or store it in the right folder. I use Squid for annotating pdf's and love how well the stylus works in this app.
