Interoperability with other pdf markup software
I go back and forth between mobile devices and Windows desktop (so I use Squid and Bluebeam Revu markup software). It would be really nice if the pdf's created from each would recognize the elements created in each. Not asking for Squid to have the same tool set as Bluebeam - just would like to be able to have the entities created in each selectable for basic functionality (move/ delete/ change color/ etc.). Also would be nice to have the bookmarks, flags, hyperlinks, etc. in a pdf available in Squid.

Make folder navigation directly from device storage
Instead of having only squid files or imported pdfs available in the file menu, base the apps documents out of the local device storage. Transitioning to squid is difficult if you used a different note taking app before it. Xodo is a good example

Provide a function for the Pixelbook pen button
This probably isn't even possible, but it would be really nice if the Pixelbook pen side button had Squid functionality.
2 votesWe 100% agree! Unfortunately Google has decided to not allow third party apps to access the Pixelbook Pen side button (it can only be used by the Google Assistant).
Please contact Google and tell them you want to be able to use the Pixelbook Pen side button in Squid (or any third party apps)!

Move / reorder multiple pages at once
It would be great to speed up page reordering by moving an entire group of selected pages instead of having to move them one by one.

Add margin to the pages/backgrounds
Add a new template: a sheet with a red line margin on the left side, and a blank on top. Thanks!

Ability to shift page number
When I import textbook pdf files, the page number of imported pdf is slightly shifted. So when professor says the page of textbook, I have to calculate the number. This may look like minor problem and it can be fixed simply by deleting some useless pages. However, I think this kind of convenience-focused app must care about these trivial issues. I will be very happy if you add this simple ability.

Drag and drop palette
This addresses the shortcomings of the cumbersome "choose image" feature by expanding to an "always open" palette.
It would build off of "shape tools" but it would be the ability to have a constant menu of "shapes" open in a "drag and drop/resize" format. This could mean many different kinds of menus... like greek/math-syntax, map symbols, etc.
I can absolutely say that the appeal for technical disciplines would go up dramatically from its already high level... if you had the ability make or download menus of various kinds of symbols.

Support for Bluetooth page turning devices
Please add support for Bluetooth page turning devices, such as PageFlip Firefly, for hands-free page turning. My particular use case is music performance (PDF sheet music).

Virtual scales similar to zoom notes from iPad
There is virtual scale feature in iOS apps like zoom notes, in which you can select Rectangle or Linear scale or Semi circle or Circle or Square and you resize these scales with hands and can draw them with pen or stylus and can pan with fingers. Adding this feature to squid will be awesome.

Scheduled Local Backups
Cloud backups have the ability to schedule and run automatically, but local backups do not. This would be a great additional feature to have.

Make intents public for tasker integration
Specifically trying to may the right keyboard key to the next page button, but if all intents were made public and documents, it basically works as an API for tasker and other applications

better default zoom control, orientation default and notebook default
If a pdf if portrait, fixed height is best when my chromebook is in portrait mode and fixed width is best in landscape mode to zoom in.
If a pdf is landscape (like slides) fixed height is best in landscape mode.Default zoom either based on device orientation or notebook orientation would be very useful.
An alternative solution is a notebook-level default zoom level, so I don't have to manually set the zoom for every page

Bckup redunancy
It would be great if there were an option to keep the last X number of backups so there is some redunancy in your cloud backups. For example, I could back up daily and keep the last 7 backups so I have 1 weeks worth of backups to restore from if an error is made.

Add a one page year planner, with the dates as rows and months as columns.
For those needing an overview of the year.
With the option to have the day of the week in each box. E.g. "M" in Monday's box, faded on the left.

Currently exporting PDF with Chinese texts (unicode?) will get "windows with crosses" only. Exporting raster file is okay though.

Choose note when importing image
Right now when you "share" an image with Squid, it automatically makes a new note. It would be really useful if you could first choose the note where you want your image.

Full size page as thumbnail
Would it be possible to add a feature that shows the whole first page in the thumbnail? Right now the thumbnail is zoomed to the scale with which I closed the note.

Lock screen unless two finger pan is used
Add ability to lock the screen against inadvertent touches unless you use the two finger pan....the screen is constantly jumping in the current version when in pen mode due to Palm interactions...previous versions had this very useful option which is now gone :(
