Add more multi-touch gestures
I think more two-finger gestures should be used. I would like to see:
- two-finger swipe left - move ahead one page (add one if currently on the last page)
- two-finger swipe right - move back one page
- two-finger swipe up - delete current page (confirm deletion before proceeding)
- two-finger swipe down - to be determined - this could be to save the current note and add a new one, it could also invoke the "share" option, or it could invoke the page management screen (my preferred choice, since page management isn't very "discoverable" unless you know …11 votes -

I receive a lot of PDF faxes through email and sometimes the faxes are upside down and there's no way for me to orientate the page without using a 2nd program please add an orientation option!

Smooth writing like in S Note
Add a filter similar to the one used in S Note. This app is almost perfect. When taking notes, a lot of the lines become jagged. S Note has a filter that corrects it as you write. You can see as you write in S Note, it is first jagged like it is on Papyrus then it smooths itself out to look like natural writing.

Default Note or Import PDF
Each time I run the App I have to select import PDF or Note! This is waste of time. Better you add option under Note defaults to select Note or Import PDF so no need to select this each and every time someone want to use Squid.

Move objects to front/back or forward/backward
I would like to be able to send objects from front to back or vice versa. For example, sending newly added images behind everything or making writing appear on top.

The ability to scroll beyond the edges of a page
I often have the problem of reaching the bottom of a page and have to write so close to the screen border. It would be nice to be able to scroll a bit further then the end of the page to make writing easier and more comfortable.

Fewer clicks to switch tools
I'd like to have fewer clicks to change tools. Like changing from pencil to eraser or shapes. Maybe there could be a quick change or some defaults.
To change tools, you have to
1. click the tools menu
2. Click the tab of the tool
3. Choose the specific tool
4. Click out of the menuThen, you can start using it. And that is without changing any tool options.

jump to next annotation
when making notes on a large pdf (like a book, when studying, or a contract) it would help a lot to have a button to just jump to next annotation you have made.
That way you can quickly jump over large amount of pages to quickly review just the parts you have marked, without reading the whole thing again.
It could be similar to word, where you can jump from change to next change.5 votes -
drag and drop notes into notebooks.
I no longer see a way to drag and drop notes into a notebook. Having to click and hold a note, then select move, then select a notebook seems like a much less efficient way of moving notes.

Give more context in the translation page
Currently the translate.squidnotes.com page shows only the precise text that needs to be translated. This will lead to bad translations because often the formulation depends on the context it is in. For example in a menu you would typically use sentence fragments, whereas a tutorial will contain proper sentences. Worst of all – single word descriptions can translate to a multitude of words in other languages depending on the context: "clear" could be a verb ("to remove content") or it could be a adjective (e.g clear meaning "to have no background")
