Add Google Drive as a Cloud Backup Option
Support for Google Drive storage via cloud backup.
Support for Google Drive is now available for everyone on Google Play, along with a major update to cloud backup! Backups are now created at the note level, meaning only the notes that were created or edited since the last backup will be uploaded to Drive. As a result, backups are now MUCH faster and can easily resume after being interrupted.
This has been a long time coming, so thanks for your patience. Please try it out and let us know if you have any feedback!

I just reinstalled Squid for this exact reason, allthough it says i'm a beta tester, google drive isn't listed as a cloud backup option and the version is 3.10.4.0-GP which probably isn't a beta version?

This would be a welcome innovation.

Cmon please - google drive option natively. Almost every android user will have google drive by default - they now also support more fine grained access controls. I've been a premium user for years, but my dropbox is full and I'm annoyed that I'd have to pay for one app!

Would absolutely love Backing up to Google Drive, find it hard to believe that it takes almost 7 years of investigation to add this.
Although I got Premium earlier this year, I will probably be cancelling my subscription if this is not implemented and working before my subscription period ends.

I would save notes in google drive folders.

Back up is already working. Unfortunately sync is not yet implemented.

I got a free premium 6 month sub to Squid from my Pixel Slate. I'm not even going to use it b/c after sketching out a home renovation project for my kids' room, I realized there was no auto-back up to Google Drive. This issue has been open for years & years now. INKredible auto-syncs/backs up to Drive. At first glance Squid is not bad. the lack of Google Drive sync is a deal killer though. Also - the Christian scripture in the About dialog is obnoxious. Muslim, Jewish & Buddhist software makers are pushing their religion in our faces - at least not that I've seen.

Hallo,

I'm a longtime android user and pay for extra cloud storage on Google. I have already surpassed my free storage space in Dropbox and refuse to buy more just for one app. Because my Dropbox storage is maxed out, Squid hasn't been able to autosync for months.
Until Squid supports Google Drive as a cloud option, there's no need for me to pay for premium features or even use this app.
Someone below mentioned INKredible having autosync to Google Drive and they were right. I'm currently using that now.

Haven't used this app since I was in college 2014. Not having drive integration sucked even back then. 6 years later, this team still hasn't done it. As a computer science major myself, it seems the developers lack the required knowledge to achieve what users want. The logic behind it seems quite trivial to program. I cancelled my premium subscription 2 years ago. Rip squid, you were good for taking notes in college.

I am not signing up for the premium unless Google drive is integrated. Let me continue using INKredible app which is only $7.00 one time payment for their premium.

Now call me crazy but users have wanted this for years. I think it's things like this needs to be fixed if they want their product to stay relevant.

We need incremental backups prior to adding additional cloud vendors. Google Drive does work already just fine, but why must it reupload EVERY note each time?!?!

At least, can you make the local backup creates automatically? For example, every day or every week

For this to be a standard app installed on a Galaxy Tab (any flavor) and not have Google Drive and OneDrive integration is disappointing. The assistance provided in the Knowledge Base article pointed to (1185616) is not useful to me as the file browser that appears when trying to do a Local Backup shows only device storage and (after changing a setting) my SD card. I'm not sure who to be upset with -- Squid or Samsung. I paid for a premium subscription with the expectation that cloud storage would include Google Drive and/or OneDrive, and I feel mislead on this.
