Add a Highlight Tool that selects text as opposed to free draw... and one that doesn't fade the text being highlighted!
Can you add a highlighter tool that recognizes/selects text and isn't just a random draw tool?
Also, the current highlighter tool results in fading of the text that is being highlighted! Can you create a highlight tool similar to Adobe, where the text doesn't fade when highlighting?
Otherwise, great app!

The ability to directly highlight text makes it an easier, faster and cleaner way to highlight entire paragraphs in a pdf. You just tap at the top of a paragraph and drag to the end. I think this is a serious shortcoming in squid. Way simpler and more basic pdf annotators have it. Example: google chrome can do it out of the box. This very basic feature has been suggested seven years ago. Steadfast Innovation, wake up!!

Im really enjoying this app but it is sad not having an automatically lined highlighters. I read many pdf files 0, use highlighters a lot and felt uncomfortable with trembling highlighters! Please add linear highlighter and drag highlighters!

When I highlight it can sometimes look a bit shaky. For personal documents this is fine, but for anything I have to share, this tends to look messy. I would love it if you would add the option to stabilize the highlighter, so my notes could look that much more professional and neat.

you could implement a tool that combines the straight line with the highlighter, very useful for those like me who like to highlight text, but despite the effort it is really difficult to do it freehand

My I also suggest that instead of a seperate highlighter just for text, when you use the highlighter on text it will automatically detect text and highlight. Or just add the option when we edit the text, we can basically highlight (as if we were about to copy and paste) the text or small portion of the text and press highlight. Because when I'm taking notes on definitions I just want the main word highlighted not the entire thing.

Extra vote for a highlighter that doesn't fade the text. We highlight so we can see the text better, so is counterproductive for it to grey under the color. Thanks!

Yes, the biggest problem, in my opinion, is the fading of text under the highlighter stroke. Very ugly and uncomfortable. Many software do not have this problem, so I think it is possible to fix it!
Apart from that, great app!
