Enhance text tool with text wrapping, direct input, and resizable text boxes
Need text input directly on page instead of the pop out input box. Also need text wrapping for smaller sheet formats for those who type as well as write notes. I would gladly pay the fee for that but not the current input
Text tool now supports in-line editing, text wrapping, and resizable text boxes!
When adding new text, the text is automatically wrapped when the cursor reaches the edge of the screen or page.
Pasting text from the clipboard also wraps the text at the edge of the screen/page, based on the current zoom level.
After resizing the width of a text box, the text always wraps at the edge of the box.

The handwriting feature of Squid is brilliant, and s pen support is flawless, however there is still a time and a place for typed notes, and currently the text tool is woefully inadaduate. At the very least we need word wrapping for larger amounts of text, bold, underlined and italics and bullet points. I pay for Squid, and will continue to do so, but what is a very good note writing tool could be a GREAT note writing tool if we had better text input support! Please make it happen...

In notability for iPad, there are resizable textboxes which can be resized by selecting them with the text tool, even after creation. Grab handles appear on the textbox, and if you tap in the textbox, it allows you to edit the text without opening another overlay on top like it is currently implemented in squid, so that you can see how the text fits. Also, notability has in line typing anywhere in the document, by tapping near the left edge of the screen. It would be gret if you could add these two features, because I'm trying to use this app as a replacement for notability, which is only avaliable for ipad.

Please look into this as this is very crucial and for many a deciding factor of staying with Squid or not, cheers!

I just got the year subscription and am pretty excited to use it in my college classes but however I find it annoying to have to write the text in a box and not on the page itself. If that feature + different text fonts would be available on the Android app, it will be amazing! its a crucial feature that everyone can agree to.

Say we adjust the page to be size A4 and you reach the edge of the page. The app should automatically jump to the next line rather than progressing infinitely to the right (left in certain languages).

Need whole page to type

This is absolutely essential. For most of what I do I much prefer handwriting, however there are plenty of times where chart notes would be far more convenient as transferrable text.

Yeah being limited to just small text boxes with no ability to edit afterwards is really limiting. I'd like to be able to draw and type on my notes

I agree! I need to write with a complete editor
It's insane write only in a little box without formattation -

Why has this not been implemented yet?

Not usable for note taking, or for journaling, without this.
- Need ability to place cursor on a ruled line, and type directly without a pop-up, like in any other text editor. Text should match the ruled lines, at least with default settings, currently it does not.
- Need to ability to edit test after typing, again, same as any basic text editor.
- If it operated like a real text editor with ability to seamlessly mix in line drawings, it would be very useful for artistictic note taking and journaling. Even the icon looks like a pen, suggesting a real text application. Instead, the current text functionality feels like a weak add-on. -

Great product, installed in the android tablet but it's almost impossible enable txt box with Windows 10 notebook. Tab anywhere on the page to enable/add text box, nothing happens. Will pay for the feature if it fixes.

That is not only a short text box, but whole pages

Have the same opinion.
Would like to quit my evernote and fully dedicate in using squid for note taking, sketching, pdf noting if fluent text input is added (not pop up text box!!! ) -

It would be great that have the option to take notes like in a word processor on squid. The stylus is good, but in some cases the bluetooth keyboards are more practical. Improving the text tool would do this. Thank you!

I love this app and use it for taking notes in Vet School classes, which can be very fast paced. I like being able to mark up my pdfs by handwriting, but for some classes it would be nice to have a typing feature as well.

To keep things aligned when using text, it would be great to have all text snap to the left margin to keep things aligned.
