Allow cloud backups to work on a note-by-note basis (incremental backups)
Currently, cloud backup saves one single file to my Dropbox account. If I have a few large notes (containing annotated photos, for example) my database can quickly get HUGE, and every backup session takes forever (or fails, very frequently). It would be great if Squid could do incremental backups so only new or updated notes will be uploaded to the cloud.
A major update to cloud backup is now available to everyone on Google Play! Backups are now created at the note level, meaning only the notes that were created or edited since the last backup will be uploaded to the cloud. As a result, backups are now MUCH faster and can easily resume after being interrupted.
This has been a long time coming, so thanks for your patience. Please try it out and let us know if you have any feedback!

Well I have had a very strange experience with cloud backup. One day after going from trial to paid my cloud backup completely stopped working. I contacted support, waited a year, they got back basically saying they will look into it. I couldn't wait another year, so I started fiddling around. Tried deleting some of the very large files, still crashes after a while. Changed the name of the file it saves to. Still crashes. Tried a faster internet connection. Nothing. I can create a backup locally and export to dropbox but I still cannot export, until this morning. I noticed that I still had the old folder with the default name in my dropbox account. So I changed the file squid saves to back to default and by magic it works. I have no idea why or what error their is in the program but I thought this might help someone else out.

I think we should put in a feature request for this because clearly this "idea" is being ignored

I have a free account of the Box cloud service, and I use squid backup to it. As my squid notes grow bigger, I can't backup my notes to cloud because the limitation of file size upto 250MB for free user.
Would you please handle my problem?Thank you.

Try using "Ahsay Backup" software as Ahsay is one of the fastest backup and restore software that makes it easy to store and back data. It gave me reliable and speedy solutions for backing up the VMware ESXi’s virtual machines. Optimum solution for all the backup related problems.

I have been using Ahsay from quite a time now and believe that it is one of the best solution for centralized management. It gave me web based centralized management. So now I can manage my data anywhere, while I am sitting at any of the places. Optimum solution if you roam here and there for business, this will let you manage your data and information in a centralized and well defined manner.

Update the PDF export so that only notes with unsynced changes are exported. Right now, exporting to PDF exports all notes even if they haven't been touched in months, and this means that exporting takes longer and longer as time progresses and my library becomes larger.

It would be really awesome if you could change your backup logic a tiny bit, that you only upload PDF files to the cloud, which were changed since the last completed backup. Every day Squid syncs more than 150 notes to Dropbox although just a couple of them were changed. Especially, if you need to sync your files pretty fast, its really annoying that you need to wait for more than 15 minutes until all files are uploaded and you can see from your desktop that 2 years old files are reuploaded again and again.
Thanks in advance ;)

I think the cloud backup saves each file each time the backup runs - whether it's been modified or not. This takes significant time when you have 100+ annotated PDF notes. Could backup be configured to only write changed notes to cloud storage?

Able to choose to restore individual page or note or the entire backup.
The current restore method is using the second method described above, doing that will overwrite my existing nite as well.
Thank you !

I suggest you get away from the non reliable data backup solutions. Your data is sensitive and it needs to be stored only in secured Data storage plan. I recommend you to try Free CloudBacko pro IT Solution. While choosing a good data storage mode please ensure that it can support your operating system. Free CloudBacko pro supports Windows, Linux, Mac, etc. You must also need ease and conveniency in storing your data. Cloudbacko pro have these both the features you dont have to install the Cloudbacko pro you can directly login from your social media account

I'm using papyrus to keep my memos and lecture notes, and I purchased the Cloud service plugin for the convenience of backup. However, as notes are accumulated, it takes huge time to upload all of them. The problem is that it uploads already existed notes again and again. Hence, it would be much much better if it checks only newly added notes to upload. It even takes huge amounts of CPU when uploading, so I always turn WIFI off when I'm writing something. (This is another problem; that I cannot adjust when the upload starts.)

For me, backup is completely and utterly broken. My last succesful run was last year. I've entered into email conversation with the development team who concluded that it was broken and there is no plan to fix it.
The people, who are having problems with this are the people who use it a lot.
We're the people who love it and advocate it. I've lost count of the people and organisations who use Papyrus because recommended it.
Please don't reward us by having paid-for services that don't work.

Always i must click 4 times, because auto sync all 6 hours - too long !! A minute option for auto sync will be great !!! Much better: Auto Sync when you leave the notice, so all is save in cloud whitout thinking anything - just like in the app "Notizen" !!!
So i will purchase all premium features !!!!
