Best way to migrate OneDrive to another OneDrive account without losing folder structure?
I'm planning to move a large amount of company data from one Microsoft OneDrive account to another, and my biggest concern is keeping the original folder hierarchy intact. I've seen people recommend manual downloads, but that seems risky and time-consuming for thousands of files.
While researching, I came across the MacSonik OneDrive Migration Tool, and it seems to cover a lot of what I'm looking for. It supports direct OneDrive-to-OneDrive migration, OneDrive to Google Drive transfers, and even backups to a local or external drive. What caught my attention is that it claims to preserve the complete folder structure while using encrypted transfers, which is something I definitely need for business documents.
Another useful feature is selective migration. Instead of copying everything, you can migrate only specific file extensions or filter files using a start and end date. That would save a lot of unnecessary transfer time. I also noticed it supports OneDrive Personal to OneDrive for Business migration without file size limitations, which is a huge advantage compared to many manual approaches.
The migration report feature also seems useful because you can verify what was transferred and identify any skipped items afterward.
Has anyone here used the MacSonik OneDrive Migration Tool for a real migration project? Did it successfully preserve permissions and folder organization, or were there any issues I should be aware of before starting?
