Auto-compress video attachments / screen recordings to save bandwidth and upload time
Hi support team,
I absolutely love using the platform for project tracking, but our team is constantly running into issues when uploading screen recordings or video bug reports.
The Issue:
When developers or QA engineers record a quick 4K or 1080p walkthrough, the file size easily exceeds 50MB. The upload either takes forever on slower connections, or completely fails due to the platform's file size limit.
My Current Workaround:
Right now, every time someone on our team wants to attach a video, they have to manually leave the app, use an external tool to Compress Video files to a manageable size, and then come back to upload it. It’s a tedious, multi-step process that really disrupts our daily workflow.
The Request:
It would be amazing if the platform could either auto-compress video uploads on the client side before sending them to the server, or at least increase the size limit with a built-in optimization tool.
Is this something on your current product roadmap? Would love to hear if others are facing the same bottleneck!
