I often factory reset my devices and the biggest hassle with getting Squid set up again is that I have to go through each setting menu each time and think about my preferences to get Squid how I like it. These settings such as note defaults or input methods would be really handy if they could be synched either through a Google sync method like how many apps save your preference when you setup a new device or even through the in-app backup and restore process since, at least for me, the first thing I do is restore my notes from a backup.

Related to this, I think the onboarding process would be greatly improved if it bhad an option for new user or existing and offered to restore your notes if you are an existing user and would like to do so. It would feel more seamless since currently you have to go digging through settings and first connect your account and then find the restore from a backup button. At least asking if you'd like to restore your notes after connecting a cloud account would simplify the process a bunch but an onboarding step would be preferable.
