Open multiple notes at once (e.g. tabs)
We often need to switch between notes. It would be great if we could open 2 or 3 notes at once and to switch between them using tabs or something.
Note page thumbnails should be accessible more easily like by sliding the left margin, so we can easily switch between pages.
This is something we're investigating while designing the Squid10 note editor.

I would like to be able to view at least two notes at a time. I save and anotate books in pdf and would like to reference them while I'm creating a new note.

For example, if you are using a a math, science, or engineering book, you could work out problems on the right or left hand side of the page you are viewing in the book is on the opposite side you're working on.

I use squid on my chromebook, and want to have more than one note open at once, for instance, to mark-up my pdf textbook and have my class notes open at the same time. With Android natively supporting split-screen, this could be helpful for mobile users as well.

I'm using this awesome program for handwriting.
I usually take notes on 1 note, and organize later when I review them.
So, I want to see two notes at the same time so that I can copy and organize easily. -

Having multiple tabs at the top of the screen to open multiple documents at the same time making it easier to access many documents at once without having to open one and close it to open another one

I've been finding recently that I want this quite a lot. Usually where I have several detail notes from a variety of meetings and other settings and I'm wanting to create a new note summarising things from them.

I think this is a bigger deal now that android apps are more significant on chromebooks as there's now the screen estate to make it really useful.

I love this app. It's wonderful. But I miss the possibility of open 2 diferents files at the same time where its possible to edit both.

sounds just what is required, I am testing squid and this would be great, also does the licence mean i can use squid on multi hardware or just one?

I totally agree - this is the only thing stopping me from giving the app 5 stars! I want to have a page from my pdf with a new page of notes next to it. I would have thought that this would be the most logical/functional feature to include out of the box!

Was about to ask for that, too. Pretty pretty please. Even more so now that huge tablets are in.

It'd be nice if a function to view multiple pages (usually 2 side by side, could be more) at once. It would help with reading the notes I take with greater fluency.

This would solve my problem! I have the Galaxy Note 10.1 and Papyrus is my favorite app for both reading PDFs *and* taking notes on them. But since I can't open two documents from papyrus I've been having to use another app (which is less beautiful/simple, but thankfully allows folder organization for the notebooks, at least) to take notes.
