I would prefer it, if you could see all your notebooks on your main screen and not all the loose notes. It would just be easier to find and organize your notesm especially if you have noted on lots of different topics

Could there be a way to let end user choose through Settings which tab or category to display when opening the app?

Agreed, options for home screen when opening the app would hugely improve the look and feel.

Simple (of course, I don't know how simple...) - Allow for user to select which notebook is shown upon opening app. Or, allow (like a calendar does) to show: 1. A specific folder, or, 2. Most recent folder.

Totally agree. It's not clean at all. Please, change the home page or Let me set the home page of the squid.

It annoys me that squid shows me all my recent notes that i have taken on the front page. I would like it if it were just my folders.

I think opening with Notebooks or Favourites would be a better option. All my notes just pop up in front of me and it gets all crappy and unorganized. I know we can select a notebook from left option bar but it would be nice if we could directly get a Notebook Cover screen and go on from there to open. That way it would be much more organized. Great app btw.

Instead of opening the app on an "recent notes" page, set it to open on an "all notebooks" page

The main page should present the notebooks instead of resent pages

When the program starts, it should open a list of all notebooks,
but not in the first notebook "Recent Notes" ...

When I open the program, then immediately open notebook
"Recent Notes" and to get the ALL the notes ...

It is very inconvenient.

Could you make a settings feature that allows the user to pick a folder as default. Each time the user opens the app, that folders content is default. Ex. (a folder named "November 2015" with notes for each day of November. The November notes be default everytime app is opened).

Trialing your app. So far it is great other than two annoying aspects.
1. Saving the file to Device Drive or External Drive (memory card). It would be great to be able to save in an accessible location similar to being able to save the exported file (say PDF) to a known location).
2. Images taken from within app are only available via rooted devices and then they have long impractical naming convention without a file extension. Why cannot these be saved in default camera location or another location that is accessible and with some form of sequential file name.

The importing of PDF files allows me to have an architectural building plan and then take photos and insert on PDF with line pointing to where image was taken along with notes (eg defects etc) as I use for site inspections.

It would be good to have other symbols available, eg arrow.

Yes, that's exactly what I was thinking. It'd be great if it could start on "Starred" or "All Notes" at the users' discretion.

It sounds like you want to customize which screen Squid opens to by default. However, just so you know, you can already add shortcuts to open directly to a specific notebook. To do so, just long press on your device's homescreen and choose add shortcut/widget (wording varies depending on the device) and choose Squid's "open notebook" shortcut.

Instead of opening up to "Recent Notes," include a setting to change launch spot.

Have a start page other than recent pages. Business associates don't need to see my personal notes.
