I can't believe this isn't already part of the application...it surely can't be difficult to implement.
+1 vote.

I've just found nout that you cannot copy notes, so will have to copy pages one at a time to create a similar document. That's a pain.

It's the only disadvantage I see in this app. It's really a great app, but it's unbeliable that you can't duplicate or copy a note so you can use it as a template.
It should be a basic feature. -

I need this too. I have to keep old versions, or make alternate versions, of some notes without destroying the original note.

If the template is one page, you could copy the page using the selection tool. The selection tool works by circling all the text (obvious) or by a diaganol straight line covering the upper left (or right) corner to the bottom right (or left) corner. The selection program then envelopes all writing within that rectangle.
Then paste to your new doc.

there should be the possibility to create a sample note or notebook to be copied or duplicated and be edited while saving the sample as original

Agreed, this should be a standard feature; can't believe it's not there

As an instructor I need to create a note as a template to be finished during a class, but then i need to go back to the template to do the same class again. Must be able to copy/duplicate.
