PDF as background for markup
It would be nice if I could create a new note from a multipage pdf so that I could markup the pdf and take notes on it from within papyrus. Perhaps with the additional feature of allowing me to insert normal papyrus notebook pages into the pdf note for adding additional notes that there aren't room for on the original pdf.
Finally! Support for PDF notes in Papyrus is here! We’ve been working on this feature for a very long time and I know all of you have been eagerly awaiting PDF support. We’re very excited to have PDF import in Papyrus 1.0 (available now in Google Play). Please feel free to continue to provide your thoughts and feedback on this idea or submit new ideas related to PDF import.
Thank you all for your patience!

As a student, I have to annotate my lecture notes all the time and they all come in PDF format. This feature would make my life so much easier.

This is the one feature that would make this my primary note taking app. I have the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and use various PDF templates for projects and agendas . Right how I'm primarily using S Note, but missing the erase-with-finger option in Papyrus.

I think David Hewson has better specifics here:

although he also likes your software:

The previous comment about 'only consist in using the pdf as custom background image' misses the point about establishing *true connection* between the actual pdf content underlying and the new added notes/markup. Background images - as a sort of paper - are probably simpler to do but much less useful as a functionality addition.

Inserting PDF as an image would kill this bird and https://papyrus.uservoice.com/forums/177239-general/suggestions/3206773-jump-to-the-last-page-of-notes-taken- with 1 stone...

The idea is simple (I don't know if its implementation would be difficult) but extremly powerful and useful. It would "only"consist in using the pdf as a "custom background image".

Or some kind of simple layer system after the possibility to insert images is added
