Add a navigation window
This is different from the "zoom are for writing" idea.
Having a small square that you can drag around with the preview of the full page will allow to navigate a heavily zoomed-in page without sacrificing drawing area.9 votes -

default page type should be notebook specific
I have multiple notebooks for class, but some I'd like to be graph paper by default and some I'd like to be lined by default. I should be able to have individual settings be notebook specific

Premium version not good enough for premium
I still miss the annotation feature, that is the most important and one to make the background black, I use an old screen. (like most people in the future will) and white drains your battery, black preserves it

Zoom window for writing
Like in "good notes" for iPad, you could insert a zoom window witch allows you to write easier and faster. The good notes website describes it as followed:
GoodNotes provides the zoom window to assist you to write in small size with your fingers or with capacitive styluses. Inside the zoom window contains a zoomed view corresponding to a rectangular area on a page.350 votesThis is something we're investigating while designing the Squid10 note editor.

"Fit Screen" as a default page size
"Real paper"sizes are of limited use for those of us who have no plan to print out our notes. For those of us who prefer paging to scrolling, can "visible area of the current orientation" be a page size?

Display Recent Notes on Startup
When Papyrus starts, it displays 3 options, all of which could be neatly placed in the top bar (to the right of "Papyrus"), which would free up space to display the most recent notes instead.
Most times, when I open Papyrus, it is to read what I wrote earlier, not to alter settings or create empty notes.
(I don't mean to sound grumpy, I'm not a native english speaker and the above simply seemed like the clearest way to put the suggestion.)

Make a paid "Pro" version of the app instead of using multiple in-app purchase for premium features.
I have no problem paying for good applications but dislike the method of using in-app purchases, as they do not stay with the application if you move to a new device, have multiple devices, or even change then ROM. If you want to see money from your development efforts, make a separate paid "Pro" version in the Google Play Market, but don't nickel and dime users with multiple in-app purchases.
701 votesThank you all for your wonderful feedback! I just wanted to set a few things straight.
First, in-app purchases are tied to your Google or Samsung account, depending on which store you downloaded Papyrus from. Purchases are automatically restored or enabled by Google Play or Samsung Apps on all devices you are signed into with that account. This means, if you get a new device, have multiple devices, or need to reinstall Papyrus, you only need to purchase the premium features once (as long as you use the same account). This is true for all applications in these stores (not just Papyrus) as it is handled by Google and Samsung. Please note, however, that it can sometimes take a little while for purchases to show up on other devices or after just installing Papyrus (usually it’s instant though).
Second, we’re always trying to figure out the best business model for…

Double tap to select tool
As it is, when you select either the pen or the eraser, you must tap somewhere in the note to dismiss the re-size popup. It would be nice to just double-tap the tool to dismiss the pop-up.
