Make pen color transparent. Not highlighters.
I want to write down with transparent pen, not highlight. Highlighters have retangular ends and I don't like it. Add transparency adjust bar.

Favorite Pens / Saved Pens / Presets
It would be nice to be able to create a pen (size & color) and then save it as a preset so I can quickly select it without having to manually adjust both the size and color every time I want to change pens.

Quick draw / auto shape detection for lines, circles, and other shapes
Auto shape detection. This is especially very important for lines. Notability in iOS has this. If you draw a line and hold it for a second it will become a straight line that you can adjust. Simple convert to shapes will do for rest of the shapes. Best note taking app on the market, my GPA (civil engineer) went up 0.5 just thanks to you guys. Well done !

A LaTeX-based Equation Writer
Hi there! I would like to see a way to compile neat-looking equations in Squid through LaTeX. LaTeX is what professional scientists use to type beautiful equations in text, and right now I see no way of doing so in Squid apart from writing them by hand.

Ability to delete note from within note
You have to exit note to be able to delete it. It would be good if you're in the note go to options and then have an option to delete it.

Double tap to undo, triple tap to redo
Add to the double tap options the ability to set the double tap to undo last change, add another gesture for three tap, which will set to redo

Allow pages to be swiped between rather than having to tap the next and previous page buttons.

Individual page titles within a note
I'd like to be able to title each page in a note as well as the entire note itself. I know screen real estate could be an issue, but it would help a lot when flicking in between pages of a note with multiple pages.

Copy text of an imported pdf
We can't copy text of pdf, we are able only copy the notes we write on the app.
Would be great copy paragraphs of pdfs I'm reading on squid and paste on my notes.

Move / reorder multiple pages at once
It would be great to speed up page reordering by moving an entire group of selected pages instead of having to move them one by one.

Full screen writing mode
Full screen mode to maximize writing space. Have a little "-" sign that minimizes the toolbar into a tiny chevron symbol. You can restore the toolbar by double tapping the chevron symbol.

Save colors to a palette so they don't "disappear"
The current functionality for colors saves the 12 most recently used colors. Every time you create or select a new color, the oldest color gets bumped off the list.
I use a set of colors to categorize list items, format headings, highlight items, etc. Being able to change the color of anything in a note is a really powerful and core feature.
However, I need more than 12 colors (not an infinite number - 20 would be great). And I want to be able to play around with new colors, without having my "palette" overwritten. It's a real pain to…

Add a tool/option to force the highlighter to adhere to text.

Temporarily lock/freeze presentation
While presenting notes there should be a feature that allows users to freeze the presentation to the cast device but allow the user to manipulate notes still. This would be super helpful to allow students to copy content down while the teacher can scroll down to the next problem, zoom in or out and make changes. When the class is ready the screen could be released back to the live stream again.

Scale the eraser size with zoom
When working at a high zoom level (500, 1000%) the stock eraser doesn't scale down with the zoom level. The size of the eraser at these levels basically erases the entire screen you are viewing.
Likewise, when zoomed out (10%), the eraser is too small, and it is less efficient at erasing. I think the size of the eraser box should scale with the zoom so it feels the same in all frames.28 votes
