Sync between devices
I would like to have my notes automatically appear on my other devices with Squid installed. e.g. Create a note on device A and it appears on device B. If possible allow editing too from that device.
2,219 votesI wanted to provide an update on this in light of our recent major update to make backups work at the note level along with our new support for Google Drive. These were both major milestones on the way to support sync. Now that backups work at the note level, we plan to continue our work to build a sync solution that works across devices using cloud storage provides like Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box. The advantage to this approach is that we continue to have zero access to your note data. Everything lives on your device and your selected cloud storage provider. However, this also means the solution must be resilient to users modifying data in the cloud (intentional or not). We don't have an ETA yet, but this continues to be one of our highest priorities. We really appreciate your patience and feedback on this idea!

Home screen widget for quick view of note
A home screen widget that would let you view a note and quickly open it to edit it.
269 votesYou can add a shortcut to your Home Screen to open a specific notebook (see http://feedback.squidnotes.com/knowledgebase/articles/1179331) or to create a new note in a specific notebook (see http://feedback.squidnotes.com/knowledgebase/articles/1179328).
It does not appear to be possible to create a widget that allows for taking handwritten notes directly on the Home Screen (due to the fact that you need to be able to swipe left/right to get to different pages on your Home Screen). Please vote here if you’re interested in a widget that shows a particular note on your Home Screen (and allows you to open it quickly to edit it).

Marquee with finger, then quick copy/paste/duplicate
Here's an idea for your product team that enables quick access to copy/paste/duplicate functions after selecting with the finger (without a side button). It's taken from the "Concepts" app on iOS and here's a video (starting at 0:21) showing how it works: https://youtu.be/sx4AfhXBDdA?t=21s

Customize position of header bar (with page navigation buttons)
I'd love to be able to chose where the menu (with the file name, page navigation buttons, pen too/ink selector) bar goes. For me I'll want it along the right edge of the screen instead of the top like now.

add a shortcut to add a page after the current one even if you're not on the last page
Right now if you want to add a page after the active one, you have to go to the next page because you can only add a page before the active one, and then go into menus inside menus. It's long and unnatural.

Control and fix display brightness
I use a samsung galaxy tablet, and I'm left handed. This mean's writing in landscape mode means either my hand sits on the home button (WAY too annoying) or it sits over the brightness sensor.
When my hand covers the sensor, the brightness of the page changes, which is really annoying. THat menas I have to go into my own settings and lock the auto brightness.
It'd be nice to be able to have the app fix the brightness while in use so lefties don't have to toggle this in the settings.

Make prices more clear- read me! not a mean suggestion:)
I love this app! It's brand new to me as of today but it is fantastic! Brilliant idea. It is scienticaly proven writing things down helps you remember folks!
Anyway, it could be that I am new but I cannot find your pricing anywhere & had to Google it. I suggest making it more clear for customers.
I really think on your end you'll make more money on people opting for premium.
(NOTE these are NOT actual prices here, I am guessing.) But I know if I see that the PDF tool costs $5 but a year of premium is…1 vote -
Alphabetical sorting should ignore accent marks.
Example:
"Á" should come before "R"

better default zoom control, orientation default and notebook default
If a pdf if portrait, fixed height is best when my chromebook is in portrait mode and fixed width is best in landscape mode to zoom in.
If a pdf is landscape (like slides) fixed height is best in landscape mode.Default zoom either based on device orientation or notebook orientation would be very useful.
An alternative solution is a notebook-level default zoom level, so I don't have to manually set the zoom for every page
