I support the idea of an export to a standard vector format. Furthermore I would suggest export to svgz, which is a gzipped svg, rather than plain svg.

I would really appreciate an option to export to svg. I use the app constantly and also have a pen Plotter, sometimes it would be great to plot what I have drawn/written in it's original form. Please add.

This would be very helpfull addition to the app. It seems to me it shouldn'n be a problem because the strokes are already vector based.

I'm using The Squid for editing diagram with a pen ( abstract syntax, UML-like). Exporting in .svg format shall rise The Squid as a killer app because it will increase productivity, I could share with team mates who would totally want to get this app, and it will stand for itself instead of relying to other app/software.

I'm not married to the idea of SVG, but I would love for the notes to be saved in a standard format that can be used by other app/programs.

I`d love to export the drawings to SVG, so I can use them directly in my products, animate them, etc. Also consider a compressed version (zipped), because SVG is quite verbose.

Use an SVG document format for saving the files so that they can be viewed and edited by other programs on other platforms, in particular on a PC. The app "write" does that well.
