View whole page while scrolling
As opposed to seeing a checkerboard until the scrolling stops. I imagine it's a processing issue to load that much at once, but even seeing a blurry image of my work will speed up navigation around the document.

Agreed. Autodesk sketchbook does it but lowers the quality of the canvas perhaps for performance reasons. If performance is an issue for papyrus, maybe the sketchbook itdea can be implemented. For infinite size pages, perhaps render only up to a reasonable point.
