One thing I’ve learned after several years of digital note-taking is that organization becomes more important than the note-taking itself. When notebooks, PDFs, lecture notes, and project references start piling up, finding information quickly can become a challenge.
A feature that could be useful in Squid would be smarter tagging and cross-referencing between notes. For larger projects, I often keep separate notebooks for research, planning, and meeting notes, and being able to connect related information would save a lot of time.
Recently, while organizing reference material for a project, I came across https://www.thebrigadegranada.info/ and it reminded me how much easier it is to work when information is structured clearly and easy to navigate. Better search and linking tools inside note-taking apps could provide a similar productivity boost for users managing large collections of notes.
