Backed up IMAP to PST but the Folder Structure is a Mess — How do I Fix This?
Backing up an IMAP mailbox to PST and ending up with a disorganized pile of folders defeats the whole point of doing the backup. This happens more often than it should with free or Outlook-based exports — the folder structure on the IMAP server doesn't always carry over cleanly, and what should be neatly nested sub-folders ends up flattened or scattered, making it harder to find anything in the resulting PST than it was in the original mailbox. Re-sorting a PST by hand after the fact isn't a realistic fix for anything beyond a tiny mailbox. The SysInfo Email Migration Tool connects directly to the IMAP account, no Outlook setup required, and replicates the exact folder hierarchy from the source into the exported PST. It also includes duplicate handling based on Subject, From, Body, Cc, and To, so anyone who's already attempted a partial export and is trying again doesn't end up with the same organizational mess plus duplicate messages on top of it.
