Turn off navigation bar/ bottom bar
I regulary close the app accidentally because I touch the navigation bar at the bottom. Could you please make an option to turn off the bar.

Samsung note has an option in the Settings to hide the navigation bar: "Hide navigation bar (Keep the navigation bar hidden in handwriting mode. Swipe in from the edge of the screen to show it again."
This feature is so simple, yet it's still missing in Squid. The feature request is 7 years old now. How is this still an issue?
Btw. all my other writing Apps (Noteshelf, Samsung Notes, Digital Exercise Book, INKredible) have this feature. -

Moreover, hiding the navigation bar would maximize drawing area (which is great if we're sharing the tablet screen when writing).

I agree. The stuff at the bottom of the screen interferes with your writing. If you inadvertently touch it with your hand while you are writing with your stylus things happen that you don't want.
Maybe a way to move that toolbar or make it so it doesn't respond to being touched except with your stylus.
Palm rejection is vital for any writing or drawing app when using a stylus!

While drawing I constantly accidentally press the menu bar near the clock. In order to avoid it now I use GMD Hide bar app to remove the bottom bar. Maybe it is possible to do it straight in Papyrus or integrate these 2 apps?
